Im not looking for a debate. However a player has consistently been banned from Trench wars. He then creates a name like %%%%afnafka%eafa%3 And then :#squad: spams from another zone. We in tw cant take care of this person, and zones with less then a population of 10 seem to be the cool place where players like this take form. I suggest 1 of 2 things:

1- give or make more Responsible players net bang ops. (mmaverick comes to mind as well as others)

2- Remove all zones that cant carry a medium average of 20 people from the zone network to prevent these assholes from going in these zones and abusing.

Thanks

Lol typical from Trench Wars. Actually, most players take form in larger zones, with very few later migrating into smaller zones for various reasons of their own (there are over 24 zones connected to the SSC biller, you can't expect to remove all but 5~7 of them; that's not dealing with the problem, it's putting a bandaid on the symptoms). If you're unable to handle your own zone's issues, then that's your problem, and you should figure out ways to stop such issues from occuring in the first place. If small zones are to blame, why aren't the smaller zones the ones being attacked? Actually, according to MikeTheNose, Trench Wars has its own banG operator capable of performing network-wide bans. Why don't you contact him, or other operators?

Life or not HTF, Hakaku is right.

A good analogy to compare with this is State and federal goverment. Federal is SSC who overgoes the major things. State takes care of Jails, prisons, etc. federal prison is like netban. Hakaku is referencing that the people (staff) of the small zones have it to deal with, even though it is affecting other zones. IMO a disturbance or violation that affects cross zone should be considerd a 'federal offense'.

Then again, It's really confuzing on whose who and whats what and why.

The issue is not one of having enough Netban Operators. Rather, it

is a player going to a zone, cross zone spamming and not being

netbanned or locally banned. The population of the zone where this

player goes is inconsequential as either banning option would be

desirable. In the case of a local ban, a Netban Administrator can

simply copy the local ban to net.

This is what I suggest as an appropriate course of action. If a player

is cross zone spamming contact a moderator. The moderator should

try to ?find the player and contact a member of the zone staff where he

is at. If the zone where the player is located at does not have a lvl 1 Op

on at the time, then the moderator should ask that a local ban be placed

with the expectation that it will be copied to net. If, however, the zone

does not have a lvl 1 Op, and most do (whether or not they are active is

a separate matter), then the same should be done with a ?message or an

e-mail sent to the Netban Administrators (either myself or Mike) to copy

the local ban to net.

Create a new access level that allows 365 days local and 7 days network and give it to people you can sort of trust.

Well Considering they actually did breach our websites (TW) and screwed around with the squad and TWL, I must say this has become a true "Hacking" situation.

A true hacking situation? You can't be serious... Somebody pulled off a SQL injection, which shouldn't have happened if the security was better. Until we have people who are actively interested (or paid) to keep security vulnerabilities patched up, we'll always get hacked. SS websites and zones have been getting hacked for years DSB, Omega Fire and a lot of the time when we actually had more population, hence more net ops to ban.

Anywho, even ignoring all that...

Who would you like to see as a netop?

And how would any of those people remedy this situation?

(bear in mind that every time I've needed anything from SSC ban related, I've gotten it within 4 or so hours... Which is damn impressive)

All I'll say in seriousness in this thread (as most of it to me is off the wall, no offense), Ghost will finally be somewhat active again here soon, and wants to chat saturday. So I'll see what I can't do to help discuss/remedy the problems at hand. And no word from priit yet on what we could do about Russ... if I'll ever get a reply, even ghost has been having trouble with replies from him.

Anyone who has shown responsibility or an effort to subspace should be a netop (long term responsibility) We need people who will fill the cracks so we arent left for hours without an op online. Im only asking to make enough ops that whether its 2 am or 2 pm we have someone we can contact.
