Doc is the proest of them all.

If u have a problem with them use the ignore feature. Shocking isn't it? An ignore feature, lets use it next time! Okay?

Mods abusing isn't such a bad thing, unless they spec you, kick you, ban you, de-grant you for their own pleasure then it's none of your problem.

Any mod abuse topics will be summarily removed. The forum is not, and never has been, the appropriate venue for discussing personal issues with zone staffers. If you have a problem, you should take it up with that person's direct superior.

If you've got a problem with a mod, talk to Rare.

If you've got a problem with Rare, talk to D1st0rt.

If you've got a problem with D1st0rt or any zone developers, talk to me.

If you've got a problem with me, go find a new zone.

Contact information is in the zone news file; ?messages work well, and forum PMs will work in a pinch.

I think that basically settles it.

I was willing to overlook the fact that you stole intellectual property from bash.org and qdb (read: posted quotes from a quotes database on ssqdb.org as his own), but this is too much. Not only are you a bandwagonist, you're an idiot. That being said, this is the worst attempt at introspection I've seen in a long time. I will agree that Arnk and Doc are right in saying that it is not necessary for mods to be your friend, but I will disagree wholly in their opinion of their staff.

I shall dispense my examples:

Masaru warped Miss Meow to sector 8 repeatedly so she could buy things more quickly. Given it is relatively harmless, it shouldn't occur.

Masaru granted himself a baryon injector shortly after the reset and proceeded to use it in pub. Again, relatively harmless, but still abuse of one's power.

It would appear this post is an attack on Masaru personally, but those are the only instances I can recall given that I haven't played in about a month.

In regard to the last part of your post, I'd have to say that I agree. There are a lot of minor instances of staff abuse in the zone, and I really think they should be more heavily discouraged. It's not any one staff member, and the abuses themselves aren't usually a serious concern, but I think that there's a general attitude of moderator powers being taken too lightly that is a problem. As a result, we wind up with more notable cases of abuse, which are the subject of another conversation for another time.

And while Arnk may, as you say, be a bit of a jerk at times, I have said before and will say again that some respect is due for the fact that he is one of few to have the power to do as he pleases and the responsibility to not abuse it. As much as Arnk trolls and annoys you, "conversations" with him are a two-way street that you can turn off of at any intersection; he's not going to show you any more respect than you show him, and nothing he says is going to stop you from playing the game as usual. In that sense, I think the rest of HS staff should be encouraged to follow his example of "resolving" conflicts through less "disruptive" means, rather than reach for those powers they can so easily make use of. As unpleasant as Arnk sometimes may be, I can think of nothing more disrespectful than using moderator powers to quell an opposing point of view.
