i was recently banned from 17th for what was considered an offensive name by foof, Nazi-GeNoCidE yet if you look at the name it means kill all nazi's. Yet i get banned while names like sadman insane and 4u>jesus which can be found offensive by people in todays recent events are allowed free reign because of nothing else but favoritism. Should these names be allowed on 17th? If they are going to crack down on what one person finds offensive shouldnt they crack down on all offensive names? and if the word nazi is offensive why is it in our childrens schoolbooks and not cencored on television?

I dont know how sadman insane is offensive but 4u>jesus isn't offensive, just contraversial. The word nazi is offensive to those who had past conflicts with nazi's and have a grudge against them, nazi's purposally murdered thousands of people, jesus didn't.... and even if you want to commit genocide on them all doesn't mean that the name should be over looked.

 

Theres a point to argue and then theres a point to know when the shut up and think before you post... Nazi and genocide and both two words that are very offensive to people, now genocide by itself would be looked at as a nick name, but the word nazi has already been branded and as a certain thing, and for you to wear it means only so many things.

 

Have a lil decentcy to respect those who died during the time of the nazi reign in germany.

 

I say this in honor and respect for those of you who were offeneded by this.

 

Just use your judgement of words a little more wiser next time... Know when something is wrong and right...

In response as to how jesus can be offensive to someone have you ever thought about the crusades? how many people died in that religous war. How about all the people of other religions who dont want that name shoved in their face every time they get on 17th? and as response to sadman insane you know as well as i that is in refrence to saddam, and in light of recent events how many people died because of him? how many people were raped? Now please dont tell me you cant see how offensive these can be. dude, sadman insane is a spoof on saddam husanes name, it's meant to be funny, and no one cares about the feelings of a tyrant.

 

Jesus didn't create the crusades, men did, men curse themselves not jesus, and btw jesus is a mexican name as well.

 

What I'm saying is, there are certain words that are just not meant to be made public, "really I could careless about that name" but a lot of people do, and I also understand why they would.

 

The words NAZI, KKK, BLACK PANTHER, BLOOD, LATIN KINGS, CRIPS, SKINHEAD, are all racial words and those words are feeled with hate. No one will ever be able to change the meaning of those words and there will always be people who find those words offensive, all you can do is be mature about it and just go on with a different name and try and be respectful to those who might find it offensive.

Im not saying my name wasnt offensive thats not the point, yes indeed it was. What im saying is im atheist im not a nazi and the fact that i have to see that name every day shoved in my face when i get on offends me, and though i see your point of racist words being more offensive does that negate the fact that i find his name offensive? and yes i will be using a different name once i am allowed back on 17th, again this isnt the point, what about all the names that are offensive to me and other people? and about sadmans little joke, ever think about people of muslim religion? how would they find that name? religion is a very touchy topic and no religious names should be allowed at all if it were up to me. My whole point for this thread is that just because foof found my name offensive he banned me, yet it seems what i find offensive doesnt matter, and i have a friend who is also offended by the sadman name whom wishes to remain annonymous but it effects the person deeply. Do these things not matter?

Well if you strognly agree with your views then I would suggest going to a higher source then the 17th staff, try the SS admin. Becuase 17th staff can only put certain words in the obscene text script. It would be up to the SS administration to block out most obscene names.

 

Really man, sadman insane and names like he's are spoofs, like if you would say Potzi or Rodolph -*BAD WORD*-ler. Their making a point with those names, there making fun of them.

 

And if so say some muslems get offended by anyone making fun of ole suddam, well then they most be one of he's supporters which would make them just as guilty as him.

 

Yes there are tons of names that are offensive to people, and a lot get over looked at times. But some names just have a longer history or torment then others.

 

And as far a religious names go, well religion will always be around and the repsect that each other person gives to that person and his or her preference. If this wasn't true we'd be having another crusade right now. Just like mythilogical gods are used as names on SS so say are bible character names are as well. And for you too tell someone not to use one of those names is just disrespectful to that person, which makes you no better then those during the crusades or even dictators of other countrys.

 

It all goes back to the impotance of a word and the meaning behind it. You have to have a good common knowledge of words before you use them and not just knowing where they go in a paragraph.

no akai he did ask me to change it but i told him i would once he told me how it was offensive, then he just banned me and ALL of my names are banned, the sad part is after the 30th i COULD get back on with the nazi name because it still would be allowed and only staff would ban/kick me for it, id still be able to login as it though.

Being a Jew myself, I do not know much about Jesus, but (from what i understand about him) he did not murder a huge amount of people because of what he believed in. He did not order other people to murder them. He did not burn them alive/bury them alive/and whatever else Hitler and his Nazi's did to the Jews.

 

Saddam has almost nothing to do with religeon, and therefor people do not care as much about him as they do about the Nazi reign. Everyone has their own opinion about Saddam, and whatever other heads of countries. If you haven't noticed yet, in most countries, it isn't polite to bring up the topic of politics for this reason. On the other hand, (i don't know why you would, but) if you brought up the topic of Nazi Germany, most people would agree that Nazi's were terrible people and didn't deserve to live. You can go ask almost any person... do Nazi's suck giant testicles of horses... and they would say... "Yes they do!".

 

If you are to young to understand this, or not mature enough to, you do not deserve to even voice your opinion about your ban here, or in any other forum. Until you do learn more about a sensative topics like religeon, you should not try to be all cool and call yourself something like that.... but of course, that's just my opinion. You can do whatever you want, although don't expect to be treated too nicely while you act like this.

Really genocide I dont think you did one thing wrong, which really you didn't, you just expressed yourself in your own way and got shut down for it, but dont give up on it though man, I never gave up on my rants, even though i am banned for 5000 days

 

Still, I say if you strongly believe in something, keep sticking with it, even if no one else gets you, becuase your the only one on this green earth thats gets "you"...

If nazis had killed my grandafather 65 years ago i wouldn't take offense to anyone using the word nazi in their user-name because they didn't kill my grandfather. This whole business of being offended by a word used by some excited teenager to spark up his depressing life is ludicrous. Usualy names that are offending will get banned (the name only),but mods cant do that and would simpley just ban the person.

I will look through the log to see if procedure was followed.

And about sadman insane,when i say sadman it dosent sound like sadam in my ears,maybe its cause of my accent i dont know,and it dosent look like sadam.
