»Purge Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 Too bad they're insulting it. Should tell them to actually try it before they totally judge it.
»jabjabjab Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 It's just another example of preaching at the wrong crowds. Try gaming communities simular to that of G4, or Gametap, who enjoy simple games such as ours.
Incomplete Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 Or if everyone here made an account there and gave it a good review it might sway some peoples minds. It would be more beneficial than playing guess the picture by root.

Incomplete Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 Why the violence little prick? Having a load of newbie posters in there would be better than just sitting around playing guess what this stupid picture is. You talk about advertising but I don't see you doing any of it. All I see is pointless threads about guessing games and animals having sex more than you do.
L.C. Posted June 10, 2009 Author Report Posted June 10, 2009 second: if they see a whole shitload of newbie posters posting good reviews, they are only going to assume that you are paying your buddies to do it...Wasn't me, and I would never do that because I understand the psychology behind this. You can't do it unless you are either very good or very skilled at acting and playing the role of an entirely different individual who didn't coincidentally register the day of the posting of that thread just to post a good testimony. I think you know what I mean. o.o Having a load of newbie posters in there would be better than just sitting around playing guess what this stupid picture is.I beg to differ. They'll obviously know that either me or related is registering new user accounts on their forum and posting counterfeit testimonials in attempt to bring people over. They'll associate things like this with scamming, referrals, annoying advertising, SPAM, and related negatives; this will just make Continuum look worse and instead of people even bothering to find out about it they'll realize what is going on first and then just close the thread and not look back.
Incomplete Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 Not if you post a few times in a few different topics.
The Apache Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 (edited) Or if everyone here made an account there and gave it a good review it might sway some peoples minds. It would be more beneficial than playing guess the picture by root. no, how stupid would it look if a bunch of dumbasses suddenly signed up on the forums, then just so happen to post in that particular topic giving continuum great reviews? l.c. will get flamed even more, and you will too. no offence or anything, but when i saw your post, i knew immediately (and no, i didn't know it was you until i looked at your signature properly on these forums) that you were coming straight from continuum to go there and promote - it was obvious and it looked pretty dumb. Or if everyone here made an account there and gave it a good review it might sway some peoples minds. It would be more beneficial than playing guess the picture by root.first: fuck off second: if they see a whole shitload of newbie posters posting good reviews, they are only going to assume that you are paying your buddies to do it... wow you haven't changed have you? don't be an asshole. second: if they see a whole shitload of newbie posters posting good reviews, they are only going to assume that you are paying your buddies to do it...Wasn't me, and I would never do that because I understand the psychology behind this. TW would be an awesome link, since new players tend to go for the zone with the biggest population. perhaps promote continuum on game websites, free gaming boards, boredom websites (send a full scale review to them etc) and perhaps they'll post it up on their home page. maybe someone could update the continuum download package? new directory servers in a .txt file, new help files, links to all relevant websites? seriously, i don't know if it's simple or not, but it sure as hell sounds it. what simply needs to happen people, is stop waiting around for others to come and help you. stop all this bullshit whining about how no one makes an effort to keep the game alive, or how you do everything by yourself. just get on and do it yourself without the help of someone else. in fact, you'll probably get more respect for promoting continuum by yourself than having a whole bunch of dickwads behind you backing you up on forums, which leads me on to my next statement... Not if you post a few times in a few different topics. ... shut up. Edited June 10, 2009 by The Apache

I tried to make it look as much like the original Contininuum040Setup.exe that PriitK released. Mine can be opened with WinRAR too. I just don't advertise this one because the address (subdir.net) doesn't carry on the same authenticity as would downloading from "subspace.net", "getcontinuum.com", or "subspacedownloads.com". It isn't very difficult at all to make those kinds of modifications (and include them preconfigured into Continuum). Edited June 10, 2009 by L.C.
Samapico Posted June 10, 2009 Report Posted June 10, 2009 I think you can submit a file to the IP.Downloads here... a mod will just need to approve it. Try it out, tell me if it doesn't work

L.C. Posted June 11, 2009 Author Report Posted June 11, 2009 You "fixed" the button, but when I click on it it takes me to a page with the following error message: You do not have permission to add files to this category
Samapico Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 Hmmmmm... Members should have permission to add files to Editing Tools, Server Kits and ASSS categories. Try subcategories too (if any), just in case.
L.C. Posted June 11, 2009 Author Report Posted June 11, 2009 (edited) Nope. EDIT :: Wait, hold on. EDIT2 :: Yeah, those categories work. I was trying to upload for "Continuum" category, but that one doesn't have the permissions for members. Don't uploads have to be validated first before they go public? Edited June 11, 2009 by L.C.
