I used these on Jackpot SVS' old website template that I never finished due to XHTML/CSS complications (lack of required experience and knowledge) and on an old "SS Jackpot SVS" advertisement banner.

Technically finished the design part, but back then when I had made this, I did not have enough XHTML/CSS experience to overcome some major issues of the design. I could do it now with the experience I have, but this design is too old and lacks professionality (I like the menu bar though). Feel free to use any part of this.

This archive contains the styles/template/theme that was used for the zone's vBulletin forum before I moved the forum here. It is not complete, but a lot of the work is done.

These are all of the Jackpot SVS zone files with the compiler. With this you can run your own copy of Jackpot SVS, whether it be for a LAN party or online renegade runaway server. I am the one who collected all the files and graphics (plus necessary photoshopping to make the graphic files what they are today, such as ships.bm2), and compiled it together into this zone.

Jackpot SVS contains every known VIE/official map (or at least the ones I could find) with settings. Sniper maps are also included (if I remember correctly, I have not finished retiling one or two of the sniper maps, as well as creating Sniper-only tileset versions of the maps), as well as all the maps and settings from the original Subspace CD. I erased/censored any critical information (such as staff passwords, billing information, directory server passwords, logs and database files), so if you want to get this running you will have to add a few things to server.ini in the Configurations folder.

You will need to go to the Configurations and Bots folder and configure them their passwords, usernames, billing and IP information. If you want to compile the zone for internet-play, run Compile Zone.bat. If you want to compile the zone for LAN-play, run Compile Zone (LAN).bat. Then simply run Subgame2.exe from the Compiled Zone folder -- simple as that!

Compiled Cache is good if you want to publish downloadable zone content online to save time from in-game downloading.

Compiled Zone is your usual Subgame2 directory with all the server and zone files.

It wasn't easy or quick to make this zone what it is today. I spent a lot of time putting this together and trying to revive Jackpot Zone. I put in a lot of effort, research and time. But nonetheless, none of the materials of this zone are mine. I take no credit. And thus for all these reasons, I believe that (as caretaker) this zone in whole is property of the community and public domain.

Take care.

I think I will be aiming to get this over and out, so I need some support. Right now there are only two positions that I need (for ASSS):

* Lead zone manager (1 person) - Needs to have experience and knowledge of ASSS. I need to have someone supervise directory and file structure as well as assist me in operating ASSS, which I do not expect to do very much (will explain at end of this post).

* Module programmers (any help welcome) - Breath my idea into a living creature.

The reason I do not expect to do very much work is because as far as I can think, all the work is already done! The leftover is just getting the modules in and out. At the moment I am working on finishing complete Sniper porting (LVZ) for the sniper arenas, but only one of these three maps are relevant to the whole project.

I do not remember if I mentioned this in my idea thread, but for each new game (or "round") a different map would be played. Only full-sized maps qualify to be in the map cycle. Anyway, if all comes out well, there is a good chance I would be shipping this out to players as "Nation SVS" or some other zone name.

I decided to rewrite my original text for improved grammar and structure.

Employment Philosophy for Staffship

Do you want to be staff? Do not expect any attention if you are new, unrecognized, stranger’ish, and unknown to The Zone. Players who enter a zone and quickly ask or seek to be a part of staffship will not receive it. Instead, you should become a part of the zone's daily life over the long-term. If you are unable to have patience, wait, and work your relationship with The Zone, then the truth is simply this: you really do not want to partake in the staffship of The Zone. You only want the power and authentication privileges associated with staffship, to abuse and show how much of a hotshot and important person you are.

This is simply a way of testing whether you are truly a player of The Zone or not. We do not hire mercenaries, strange and alien players. Furthermore, we suggest involvement in the community and the bulletin board for The Zone. Following the common sense rules you were born with, having a positive and mature attitude, and voluntarily helping others (not for self-gain) are also some good ways to be a service to The Game and The Zone.

Therefore, if you ultimately want to gain staffship, please leave and go find some-place else to satisfy your hunger for power.

Staffship Duty and Principles

A staff member's duty is to serve The Game, The Zone, and the players of both realms. It is a selfless duty that is careless and ignorant of the honors, privileges, and powers they possess. Their powers and privileges are only there to assist them in fulfilling their duty -- nothing more and nothing less. They are volunteers that expect and desire no reward, no honor, no praise, and no power. As a staff member, you are no greater in any regards or means than any other player of The Game or The Zone. The Game and The Zone is not about moving up in rank, promotion, eating the next dog in the chain; otherwise, you are dead wrong in motivation, perspective, attitude, and have come to the wrong zone to achieve such pitiful "accomplishments."

As a staff member of The Zone, your job is to fulfill the objectives of any other person of similar position: to serve The Game, The Zone, and the players of both realms. Being promoted is not an objective. The sole purpose of zone staff is to maintain the law and order within a zone. You were never given any ability for your own personal pleasure.

The concept and function of zone staff and staffship should be taken very seriously and without question. Zone staff who are satisfied with what they have, and are loyal to The Zone, careless of what abilities they have, is an honorable role model to The Game. Say you become a Moderator or a Super Moderator; so what? You have no rights to brag, no rights to boast, and no rights to the title, position, or any privileges, powers, and capabilities associated with that authentication level. Think of it and live that way. In fact, do not even think of it as a "level," as the word implies rank and direction.

It is important that no zone staff be conscious of their place in The Zone. After all, it is not about You (assuming You are a staff member of The Zone). You are still a player, and likewise must abide by all the rules just as if you were never summoned to staffship. If You (as a staff member) are "bored," you have most likely forgotten that you are a player. Go play.
