simon.jonathan78 Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 this game must be messed up on my computer or somethings wrong with vista can anyone help me on starting a profile to play subspace ive tryied 10 diffrent names and passwords and none work it keeps saying try a new name and password on the game when i try to plat someone please help me
»Purge Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 Either you keep picking a name that is already registered or the zone you are connecting to is rejecting your login (zone permissions, bans). Does this happen in all zones including SSC zones (zones that begin with the prefix SSC)? If so, try creating a name completely random and see if that works.
Static Burn Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 Make sure your changing your "Player name" (second from top option) and not your "profile name" (top option) on the Select/Edit Profile screen.

The profile name is just something to have different sets of options using a same 'player name' If you try a name like ajkddy58937yfajkjhkj34, it should let you in. Make sure you enter a password too, though.Once you're in, you can use the command: ?find someplayer to see if a name exists. It will either say 'Unknown player' , or 'Last played: ...'
