Yo!

Confess was in South Tejas a couple of days ago and told Bad Company, the owner, there was a slot open in SSC we can use. I have tried to PM snrrrub twice in here and got undefined error. Confess said chambahs is running SSA for snrrrub.

How does a Zone get sponsorship?

Thank you,

This zone has been around since 04 05 and when it was in SSU it thrived with 10-15 players usually. Why isnt this zone in SSC yet? It's been 5 years. It's a really good old-fashioned fun zone to hang in.

In those 5 years, it was recognised that not enough butt-licking had yet occurred. Sorry. blum.gif

Ok so from what I gather the OP is looking for a host. It would probably be more wise to post this in the main forum as more people generally read it. I could be wrong though... Edited by MikeTheNose

What are the requirements to get on SSC now? I remember you needed a T1 before, is this still the case?

i want to bring back an old zone that used to be on SSC in the good old days but I have only 512k up. I should be able to get a better connection but I dont think I'll need it unless it gets a shitload of players.

Getting on SSC as a host is different than getting a zone on SSC. You just need to find a SSC host to host your zone (so the up connection isn't an issue). You could contact L.C. , he runs SSCV. But your zone should at least have some population to get on SSC.

Also, the guidelines were updated just recently: http://www.sscouncil.com/guidelines.php

Not really a requirement, Samapico. A zone must meet the minimum requirements you linked to to be able to attain SSC.

However, PoLiX would at least like to see that a zone that he is reviewing is at least trying to complete their zone and do something. Although I bet I could possibly get Jackpot SVS -- though a 'dead zone' -- on SSC (but it is not in my desire to get Jackpot SVS on SSC anytime in the near future for various reasons).

I don't believe that "population," at least the way most people in this community take it is, is the point of Subspace. I think if you think that that's what Subspace is all about, you're missing the point entirely and should rethink some things about the game.

The game is about having good, old time fun with a group of friends and buddies, perhaps on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday nights. It doesn't matter if a zone has "0 pop" as long as you have a group of friends that enjoy the zone together whenever. That, my friend, is what Subspace is about.

Trying to find a zone that has a living constant population isn't necessarily a bad thing either, or the whole "0 vs 30/100+" pop deal either, but if that's all you go by for Subspace, you are missing it. Anyway, just my opinion. (Credits to TGS for revealing to me a totally new perspective.)
