Facebook postings foil Newfoundland man's injury lawsuit

Lawyers in Canada are increasingly warning their clients about the perils of posting information on social websites such as Facebook after a small but growing number of cases faltered because of damning messages and photographs.

 

Last month, a Newfoundland man's lawsuit was largely foiled, partly because of Facebook postings that contradicted his claims.

Hrmm, I read about a NYC Police Officers facebook status history being subpoenaed by a court, and the fact that he liked Training Day etc. made him lose a case about Brutality... I'll try to find a link to the story later.

The case of the police guy is pretty stupid though... Writing "Devious" and watching a movie, weeks before an incident, does not constitute a proof of any kind :/

But I guess it could be enough to give a sufficient doubt...

 

There seems to be a bunch of other things he did though, like some comments on the video on youtube. Yeah, I guess the steroids screwed with his brain a bit
