The problem was that when I download a big file from a local ISP server (any) you can see at first 640kbps (5mbit) and then it slowly decreases and or sometimes freeze for a couple of seconds or more and then the download speed drops significantly and it continues to download at a rate of like 200-400kbps, it goes over and over again untill the file is complete. Steps:dl 500mb file from 3 different servers, really fast servers located in IsraHell.1. dl starts slow and goes on slow with freezes.2. dl starts fast and freeze or decrease very slowly. A technician came here and fixed some lines, now my noise margin stands on:http://portllast.sshq.net/image/adsl.JPG The tech guy says it's pretty good for a 5mbit connection. Probably something to do with the way it's calculated, it always did that for me. Try http://www.speedtest.net/ If it only happens when you download from local ISP servers, then I dunno... Weird thing:When I use my laptop to connect to the internet using wireless I download at 640kbps stable. (This is done when i'm connected only to the line provider)When I use my laptop/PC to connect to the internet using a cable I download at around 230kbps or starts at 600 and then drops with freezes. (This is done when i'm connected only to the line provider) I replaced 3 cables and the router itself but the problem still remains. I also tried the same thing on my PC and my laptop so that rules out any hardware malfunction... the tech guy told me he will speak to engineers. Hmm, it's like Wireless is working fine but cables don't.... WEEEEIIIRRDDD! Any ideas? http://odedta.com/ezgif-save.gif
