So it's time for some people to start on their path to college and beyond, including myself. It has made me wonder what career paths all of you are planning to follow. Please share your plans of what you want to achieve or share your story if you have already achieved your goals. I am going to Baylor university and plan to pursue pharmacy or medical research careers.

Starting a systems engineering job with General Dynamics this summer after I graduate on the 15th

Im going for Radiation Protection (will be working at a local nuke power plant). This week is the last week of the semester, and Ive only got a year left after it.

 

Its surprising how much the items in HS are related to my studies.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (not to be confused with Computer Science). Hopefully I'll have my Master of Science in Electrical Engineering soon. I'm defending my thesis tomorrow.

 

My only advice is to pick a degree path that you love. Picking a degree because it pays well won't help when things get tough (and unless you're pursuing some wishy-washy degree, they WILL get tough).

In 2 more years I'll have a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. Then the fun begins..

All I do know is that my diploma from high school will allow me to get into virutally any college or university in all states excluding New York. So im set for the next 4 years of high school

Lol I'm getting my hs diploma next year. I live in NY, and I can get into pretty much anything cept harvard/yale/ect (grades r lowish)

Speaking of school and such... last semester's grades were just given to me... perfect score, A+ in all my 4 classes, woohoo!

@ vetta Hell, I haven't logged into Hs in about 2 weeks due to my exams, so I havent got to talk to doc about me losing my ships except for that darn forum which noone replied to my last reply. oh well.

Almost everyone here and everyone who posts here will either go on to mathematical and scientific jobs.

Except for arnk, he will fail college and end up offering As3 for food on the side of the road.

A construction worker! Now thats bringing in the diversity! I can see what you mean though; all the young people i talk to in subspace are programming bots or talking about something mathematical - hem cdb and linear-key hem. But, it's got to be a good thing, because you guys are able to offer intuitive ideas for improving the zone! What with your math and science know all. (I hope)
