In the never ending quest to make Brain happy, I came up with an idea that might help with the basing.

 

What if there was a timer that resets after every FG win. Lets say the timer is 15 minutes real time, and only functions if there are 25 people in the zone.

 

When the timer runs out the team with all the flags, or the team with the most flags wins.

 

Basially every 15 minutes there is a FG win regardless of whether the team wants to win or not.

 

You could make it so the win is based on holding more flags than the other team, and there would be a win EVERY 15 minutes. OR, you could make it so the winning team would have to be holding all the flags, which may not happen every 15 minutes.

 

I think holding a majority of the flags would work better because it would foster basing, but not allow the team to drop 11 out of 12 flags and there by not win the FG.

Some of the games in EG extended into days..... This idea seems good - would players win enough per game to make flag games worth their time?

Ragequitting has become an annoying factor to flagging, How about mixing together the older system with this new system.

 

Meaning, instead of giving a set reward bases on population, set it so that jackpot goes up with more players killed. That way, the other team can rage all they want, the prize will still be same. That or fix the new jackpot system to be a 'set' amount of money for population, as described by vetta.

 

i.e. 5 v 5 = 3500$ after X time winners 1000$ losers

10 v 10 = 7000$ after X time 2000$ losers

15 v 15 = 12500 after X time 5000$ losers

and so on.

 

 

This kind of system would be noob friendly, and pretty good for the vets.

it should also allow smoother gameplay and much faster base games, as doc wants.

The increased loss money will also create an incentive for players to attack the enemy teams without quitting, and allow for more people to be dedicated to lancing (more so if hs increases summoner leech money)

I was also wondering if leech money could be stratified based on exp the way kill rewards are, either that or leech radius would increase for noob, and then shrink over time.

 

All in the interest of helping the noob and getting more people for me to kill.

We've discussed doing something like this before, and it certainly has merit. The only issue is rewriting the flag module, which no one has had time to do. Once that's done, it's just a matter of balancing everything.

That will never happen. If there aren't any losers then there aren't any winners. What is the point in playing if you can't come in first? To have the prettiest warbird??!? I can see the new category in the buy menu now; ?buy color, ?buy bling, and ?buy dazzlers .

lol thats how society works now days.... help the poor pathetic fat kid.. no point in working for anything in life. it will get handed to you one way or another... maybe hs is trying to keep up with the rest of the world?

Maybe we should have an HS wealfare, where if you feel like you do not make enough by normally killing people, you can apply and have a specified amount given to you every day for free. I would say no more than like 100k per day though, anything more than that would be ridiculous.
