  1. 1. Do you prefer the old system (20 flags, bnty in bases, b lines, old jp system?) or the new system? (team oriented jp)

I would appreciate everyones opinions on the matter of old hs vs new hs.

please.

(1) Keep insults and bashes to the bare minimum (this means you arnk, and this also means any of you who think of challenging arnk, keep it respectful guys)

and

(2) Try to keep this forum on topic, this forum is about the old hs vs new hs. What we like, what we dislike, blah de blah.

Yes there were many old systems... and i believe Doc has mentioned time and time again that HS will not be moving backwards!

All i can really say is that this current system is not working very well and that it needs changes... All i can do is hope once summer comes around, Doc, D1, Arnk have more time to help make HS a more enjoyable environment to play. I'm sure they already have ideas, we just have to be patient and wait!

Since none of us has the power to change what happend to the zone in the future, all we have is a vioce of opinion.

Therefore, this was a good post, not becuase Requim thinks that everything is going to go back to the old way (my assumption), but becuase it excpress his opinion. The only way to possibly affect change in the future.

Kudos.

Look, your all taking this the wrong way, I'm just expressing my opinion, this has nothing to do with bringing back the old system.

This conversation came up about a week ago between a few players and I and I wanted to ask the ss community on the forums.\

Yes d1, that was there before, you can tell because it would've registered as "This post has been edited by requiem. at 'Xtimehere' " and that isn't in the post.

OK Then ill give my reason to my vote... Yes i did enjoy the old system alot more...

20 flags was a good amount, considering one person could hold all 20... and it would not be super easy to get all the flags on one player (unless no1 else cared)... but once a person has all 20 it allowed for run-winning... which also takes a bit of skill! But since alot of newbs did not have the ability to counter run winning.... things were changed.

Bounty in base was also fun for milking and gaining extra money to build ships, and some people play just to bounty in base... since doc doesnt want long flag games... bounty in base was eliminated

Bomb lines were the perfect defense... but almost anyone with the right ship settings could get past the defense... since newbs cant rush and thought bomb lines were lame... bomb lines were taken out.

I enjoyed the old system more, but that is only because i was always on a team i can trust and depend on to win. But with public teams, holding 4 flags max, no bty, no bomb line, it allows for a newb friendly zone... which means people that start fresh have fun... but people that have been playing for a long time get disappointed and play less.

I do understand.... not everyone can be pleased... and some sacrifice must be made to make the zone an enjoyable place... but all we can do now and wait and see what happens next (whenever that is).
