Guest Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 A couple things. I play with my Keypad instead of the regular arrow keys. Then there's 13 other keys located close to the arrow keys that can be used (for other things, like macros, decoys, thors, etc.) without having to move my hands. Problem is, I used to use another keymapper. It was awesome, but it only works in Windows 9x. So anyway, once I ditched 9x, I had to ditch the keymapper. Well, I tried out the mapper that comes with Continuum but there's some bugs in it. 1) You can't portal using the Shift + 0(Ins) [Keypad] key while you're moving in a forward direction. However, you can do this using the regular Shift + Ins. This must be some kind of weird bug. 2) Also, I'm sure this isn't really a bug, but I used to be able to use the Num Lock key as an F7 so I could attach but now if I remap that key, I'll attach but I'll also turn on the Num Lock so I won't be able to fly or do anything until I press F7 again. My old Key Remapper actually changed the setting through Windows and that's why it didn't turn on on the Num Lock key when I pressed it. I'm sure you can't fix this one, but I thought I'd bring it up anyway. Thanks if you can help.
Mr Ekted Posted August 19, 2003 Report Posted August 19, 2003 Many keyboards stop sending key codes to the computer when certain combinations are down. For example, on my keyboard I can't hold shift + left + up at the same time, so i can't move, turn and boost at the same time, so I remapped boost to the Z key and use X for bullets in Hockey ZoOne. http://home.maine.rr.com/user/ekted/pics/ssgc.jpg http://www.againsttcpa.com/images/AgainstTCPA-Log01Small.gif
