That was pretty intense blum.gif It would be nice if the camera could be rotated depending on the direction the ship is facing (like as in when the ship is going downwards, adjust the camera to make it look as if they're going forward). But nice work tho.

I'm guessing you could put 3D models in there easily?

It is a 3d model...its just a very poor creation with really crappy textures...if u zoom in close enough you can see it had 3 dimensions..but ya better models could easily be used.

 

If you replace the files in Resource\Model\StealthWing with a different ms3d model (call it the same name) it will load that instead smile.gif

ms3d are milkshake files... any free editor that support them? Just downloaded milkshake to find out it required a license.

 

Yes I know I could crack it... But I try to use free alternatives when I can blum.gif

 

And searching something with 'free' in google is not an option...

Ya if i get some suggestions for file formats to use i can add support for them blum.gif

 

The only models of ships ive seen so far are made in ms3d. (from the 3dships thread)

 

I dont really know alot about 3d modelling unfortunately so i dont know whats best.

 

I know blender is quite popular and free but i couldnt understand it :/

I never got through a whole Blender tutorial either lol

 

I'm the kind of guy who'd use SolidEdge or something like that to make 3D models, though, lol

There's a lot of programs that seem really cool in that list...

 

Not sure how much work it would be to implement these kind of formats ingame, though... I'm guessing you need some kind of library to load it in the environment or something? It says Misfit Model 3D is OpenGL-based, so I'm guessing that should be pretty easy

 

If I try one of them I'll give some feedback
