rootbear75 Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Well, this weekend at Digital Overload I managed to pass out ALL but 50 of the like 200-300 cards Trained gave me. Let me know if anyone sees a spike. The general consensus was "It's Free. YAY" and "You can kill people? Hot damn!" Tried to pass it out to console players but found a bunch of cards sitting on the tables when I left, so who knows. What I want to know:* Spike in traffic on SSForum* Spike in traffic / downloads on GetContinuum.com* Spike / Increase in general population in the game. Give it a week to register than check the averages. Hope we got a somewhat of an increase, because if it worked, then I will do it next year as well.Oh, and i gave the author of CtrlAltDel the card as well.. If he likes it, I am hoping he might say something on the site, which will then increase the pop as well.
»Purge Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 One can only hope. Good work. Did you end up using that huge banner?

Incomplete Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 If we merged all the advertising threads together i think we would have about 5 topics left....
Dav Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 haha. given that the old threads are old i wont be doing that.. Anyway good work, lets hope it gives us that boost
»Blocks Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Didn't think I'd be saying this, but good job rootbear. Also Ctrl+Alt+Del is awesome and I hope he gives it a try.

Was one of the few games I could play online with my connection back then. Good game to spend an hour or so at a time. oh, and I actually had a guy come up and said he still played it and didnt know it was still running (at the con... think it was a different person, cant tell)and i also got asked the following questions (followed by my answers) * Are you a developer? -no* Are you a site owner? -no* Do you get something out of it? -i wish* Why are you doing this? -iunno, cuz i want to?
