Aarbear Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 (edited) Hello, I have a zone called Aarbear test.I've been going in and out of it for quite some time... even today. This afternoon I decided to reinstall continuum because I had the subspace folder on my desktop... and I just wanted to reinstall it so everything would be in the correct spot. (programfiles/continuum)I took out all the files I didn't want to be reset, my profiles/macros/banners ecc.)I also took out my zones (aarbear test) folder. So I reinstalled continuum, replaced the new files with my old files I wanted to keep, and I also stuck my zones folder in my cont folder... because thats where i have always kept it.So I proceed to log into my zone... and it doesn't work. The letters are green, everything looks fine.I was able to log into my zone BEFORE I did the whole reinstalling deal. I do not run my own server, somebody else does it for me.Help? Samapico Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 Perhaps if you have a firewall and if you had it configured for your other installation...
PoLiX Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 Tried renaming your zones' folder in the zones folder?
Aarbear Posted February 21, 2009 Author Report Posted February 21, 2009 Oh, it's currently in continuum/my test zone. Before it was in subspace/my test zone. This matters? And if so... is there a way to fix it so I can keep the continuum folder called continuum instead of renaming it to subspace?
PoLiX Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 oh. Not Continuum/Zones/Aarbear Test ?
Aarbear Posted February 21, 2009 Author Report Posted February 21, 2009 Nope, I've never ran any of my zones from the zones folder. Should I be?
PoLiX Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 Ok, so this folder has no concern to us then. You made it sound like you backed up 'Zones/Aarbear Test' not some folder with random zones files of yours in it. So I figured it might be a file issue when you tried connecting. Have you tried logging in with different accounts? I logged in fine.
Aarbear Posted February 21, 2009 Author Report Posted February 21, 2009 Yeah I did try a different account earlier. You don't think I screwed up any paths or anything?Like... maybe it is trying to find something on my desktop (where I had it before I reinstalled continuum).
Chambahs Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 it shouldnt matter, just go into your continuum/zones/aarbear test folder and delete the folder, so it acts like the zone was never created. you shouldnt need to move the folder that you use to run subgame.exe, you can stick that anywhere, other than that, the only thing i can see that is happening, is that your name is in limbo as far as your subbill goes, but that should be fixed with a simple shutdown of the zone.
