its a quantum leap to assume that rapidly mutating HIV will make a zombie out of its host. It would take massive changes for it to do that at which point it would no longer be HIV but some entirely novel virus.

KP-1461 doesn't have any known side effects, but the worry from the Food and Drug Administration is that a drug that induces mutation in a virus could also cause dangerous mutations in the patient's own DNA.

So far it doesn't appear to cause short-term mutations in animal models, but longer-term studies are necessary to eliminate the possibility, said Robert Smith, a professor at the University of Washington who studies other lethal mutagenic drugs.

probably this part that you are discussing mostly here. I expect that this is a reference to messing up the DNA interaction of HIV in a way that disrupts the hosts genome in a way that could cause problems such as cancer or irreversible damage to immune cells.

Yes I can't wait to battle zombies.

yeah an exponentially spreading virus which gives you a probability of survival less then that of winning the lottery 5 times does sound like a wild time.

My plan - secure a bunker, an armourd police van and a load of guns. Location MUST be close to a petrol depot and munitions sources, also have a large amount of land on which crop can be grown. Start at bunker and fortify in layers out over the land to be worked for food. Bring together as many survivirs as possible to ensure there are enough people to guard the place, maintain defences and produce food.

NOTE: I havent spent any tiime tinking about this what so ever.

What are you, a biologist?

Dude. Ministry of Defense head quarters, Feltham. You've got an army barracks about a ten minute drive away, Tesco within walking distance for food and a very high security building. Plenty of time to wait out/defend against any zombie attack. You're also on a high street with plenty of shops so if you ever needed any other necessity it's nothing more than a small mission away. The whole place is surrounded by 9ft high barb wire fences, so the only zombies you'd need to worry about are ones that are already in there. If you got enough friends together, it would just be a mission of killing all the 'in house' zombies and then taking them off the grounds.

You wouldn't even need to worry about electricity, as they've got a load of generators near their heli-pad... Oh yeah, and they've got a helicopter, so if it comes to you needing to get out there in style (and probably dying) then... Gah, I'd be running towards that. This idea is fool proof (well it's not, because a fool wouldn't know how to get in) but.. Jesus, I just thought of this.

brb, enlisting into the Marines or ... whatever.

Charizard's distrust for Ash was disheartening, considering how hard Ash worked to train him and how his disobedience would eventually lead to Ash's defeat in the Pokemon League. But it's hard to blame Charizard, considering what he went through as a young Charmander. Here's why I believe he never truly listened to Ash:

Recall that in Charmander: the Stray Pokemon (episode 11, season 1), Ash, Misty and Brock rescued Charmander from atop a rock, where he was waiting for his trainer to return. The fire pokemon didn't know it, but his trainer had abandoned him. When he realized it, he was stunned, heartbroken, and understandably angry. The neglect he suffered would prevent him from fully trusting any trainer, and also the jump to a new trainer was a difficult adjustment. Thus, I believe, that when Charmeleon evolved and was finally strong enough to survive on his own without Ash, he began to play by his own rules and do whatever the hell he wanted.

my sentiments exactly..

whats sad is he remembers the season and episode.... whats more sad is that i remember both the episodes where they got charmander and where he evolved to charmeleon, and when he lost the pokemon league championship
