Prottos007 Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Is it me, or is the new "unique" bomb way too powerful? Come on, it has the same amount of shrap as tacnuke and its not even a sig?? Something needs to change as almost all the javs and some of other ships now employee Entropy Quote
Emit Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 lol @ u, arnk's going to make example out of u Quote
Kilo Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 All of them are using it because they didn't read iteminfo probably! Quote
Syrith Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 It's not too powerful, you only see your shrap at higher levels on your screen, while everyone else sees L1 shrap. It's actually weaker than falcon. Quote
Sharpflame Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 (edited) I tried it out, not too useful. L1 shrap doesn't do much damage, don't think I made any kills in the minibase with its shrap. If it could use better than L1 shrapnel, it'd be nice. I can see it being great for getting people to back up around chokes though - the shrapnel will be flying everywhere causing them to pull back. It floods areas like beam array, but isn't much made for massive damage. Edited February 15, 2009 by Sharpflame Quote
Kilo Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 (edited) It's almost like you paraphrased "The Entropy Missile is not very effective on impact, but releases many low level shrapnel, great for flooding corridors." Edited February 15, 2009 by Kilo Quote

Quote
Corey Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 No, its not a glitch, you see it at L3, while your enemy sees it at L1. Sheesh read. Quote
Prottos007 Posted February 17, 2009 Author Report Posted February 17, 2009 No, its not a glitch, you see it at L3, while your enemy sees it at L1. Sheesh read.Does that mean the damage from the shrap is actually equal to l1's? Quote
Sharpflame Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Entropy emits L1 shrapnel, so yes, you'd take L1 shrapnel damage. The only person who sees the bomb with any shrapnel besides L1 is the person who fired it. Quote
Prottos007 Posted February 19, 2009 Author Report Posted February 19, 2009 I seen to be having some problems lately with my screen. Several people clearly have pulse laser or beam array and some kind of bomb with shrap, but on my screen those shrap appear to be l3. They all say that on their screen, the shrap is l1 or 2, but is not on mine. Anyone wanna tell me how to fix this problem? Quote
Sharpflame Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Ok, since a little while ago, bombs emit a predetermined level of shrapnel. Check them with ?iteminfo: The stat "shraplevel" tells you what level of shrapnel the bomb has. If you grab a bomb with "shraplevel =3", and grab a gun that is L1, your bomb will emit L3 shrapnel. Plus, shrap booster gives +1 shraplevel, meaning you can achieve L4 shrapnel if you have a bomb with L3 shrap + Shrap Booster. Due to limits in continuum, you will see the shrap from the bombs you fire on your own screen as the same level as your gun - but others will see them and take damage from them according to the shraplevel stat in ?iteminfo. Gar Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Too bad Arnk had to go and remove a great aspect of bomb design by setting all the shrap levels... he could have just set some, he didn't need to set all. I say too bad, because the other changes all rule. Quote
Prottos007 Posted February 20, 2009 Author Report Posted February 20, 2009 Just curious, is all bombs originally with shrap all have l3 shrap now except for entropy? Quote
