I wondered how a game like this would do on a console. Cause normally they're a lot easier to play on PC, but man. Any issues I would of thought of they have covered, and I've easily killed 8hrs of play since downloading it yesterday. I started having my doubts after I pre-ordered it and a few people mentioned how it probably would be hard or suck on console compared to PC, but every doubt is gone from my mind. I want the full game now... damn it. haha.

Try it out, you won't be dissapointed.

Hell, it's got my looking for my old starcraft cds again.

no, only if you buy/preorder the limited edition version... the one for $70.00

if the other things with it aren't worth the $20 extra, you might as well buy the normal one, and buy the maps with MS points

Omg I am going to have to refrain myself big time on the following post...

Halo wars is crap! You can NOT bring rts to console. A real rts anyways. Pro rts is about colony management while being able to make the right decisions at the right time all at the same time as battle tactics etc. This game lacks 2/3. Having literally no colony to manage except direct upgrades and a single resource that brings itself in, the game has an absolute zero depth to it. Its all battle boom boom bam yay I have my halo masterchief man in the battlefield this is so colorful!!! yay!!!!

I feel this game is very insulting to any pro RTS gamer. It's beyond pathetic, it can't be explained in words how much of a FAIL this is. And the part that is even worse is it's still going to sell perfectly like every other piece of crap that's on 360.

Its not a real comparison if your comparing something that is completely different. its pointless to compare a console RTS to PC RTS. Its like comparing a 0.22 rim bullet vs a magnum bullet and saying the 0.22 bullet doesn't have enough penetration power as the magnum but they are both considered bullets.

Between, did anyone play N64 Starcraft? If so, compare it with that lol

whee, got it on tuesday... the best part of Halo wars is the Deathmatch mode of skirmish.

All units start with full upgrades, and you start off with super high resources.

Basically its a clusterfuck of units... build and rush, build and rush, build and rush...

You make it sound so boring.

I played the demo and liked it though.

that was only one mode... its the funnest ya, and its going to get boring fast ya.. but thats not all

skirmish is fun... tactics you definantly need to worry about, as well as timing (like managing your supplies.. they take so long to regenerate)

campaign is interesting... on mission 6 atm...

Got it, but haven't had time to sit down and actually play it. Beat 2 levels real quick then had to run out.

I hope there are many more upgrades available on the full game than there are on the demo.

I like to start from scratch, get resources and work my way to a stronger army to try and defeat the enemy.

Just built a tank and Warthog batallion (sp?) on Blood Gulch and dominated. Granted 1v1, but still, hella fun.

Only additions to demo: lots more maps, up to 3v3 AI/Online Multiplayer, UNSC Leaders have special units, special ugrades/starters, and a powerful unit. Same with covenants on special units. IE: Forge has the Grizzly Mechs instead of Elephants, forget his power unit, but all your supply depots are automatically heavy supply depots on building.

Other little things, but i'll save em for when you get the game.
