Guest Guest Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 Hi, I'm using Continuum 0.40 and I'm having some trouble changing my key mappings. I play DSB and I'm trying to change my port keys, but whenever I try to change them it justs says 'Clear' (as if I've pressed the key 'Clear'). No matter what key I press, it says 'Clear', and even if I try to change any of the other keys (to anything), it just says 'Clear'. Any help would be much appreciated.
Samapico Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 Weird, when I right-click a key mapping to remove it, it actually removes the text, it doesn't say 'Clear' Also, do you have a joystick or gamepad plugged in? If so, make sure that all of their axis are centered, that includes the common 'throttle' axis. If that axis is either fully up or down, it will confuse most 'key mapping' systems in any programs. However, in these cases it usually says something like Axis4+ or something like that. If it really says 'Clear' ... hmmm... I dunno, do you have some special keyboard with function keys? There might be some kind of toggle key called 'Clear' that is on, or something.

For example, if I go to the 'Movement' section, find the 'tab' for the key that will turn the ship anti-clockwise and then press left (i.e., what it is by default), it will actually replace 'left' with 'Clear'. As for special keyboard, I'm just on a Compaq laptop. I don't think there's anything special about it. Should I try reinstalling the game or something? Thanks.
