SeVeR Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 A good idea in my opinion. I'm a young man and can't stand chavs. I imagine it's even less tolerable for older people. The only problem would be identifying who is a chav and who isn't. They probably just do an age cut, like you must be over 40 or something, which would discriminate against non-chav young people. It would be interesting to see how they make the separation. Quote

They're not "banning" these people, it would be like a travel agent in America advertising that you will not find many, if any "thugs" on one of our vacations. No matter how you call it, a thug, a chav, a punk, insert label here, I would welcome as little social interaction as I can possibly have with them. Quote
SeVeR Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 (edited) There have been a lot of complaints to travel companies from people who ended up in a hotel with a bunch of 18-30 loud mouths who shout, scream and play music all night. You could find these people on almost any package-holiday, so it would be good to know at least a little about who's going to be in the "same boat" as you (oh the pun!). I never go through travel companies to book anything, they always rip you off somehow. There has not been one vacation I've taken where I could have gotten the deal that my travel agent got me on vacations, and I'm not talking about just a few bucks off. It's very similar to why people hire wedding planners. It's not that everything is terribly difficult, it just can manage to be stressful, for example if you had a family of 5, so going through an agent, similar to a wedding planner is a convenience so that you don't have to worry.
