I didn't see a thread for it, so i'll make a post. The ssforum.net site only seems to load about half of the time. Are other people getting the same problem? Is this to be expected? Is there a solution?

Lot of people experiencing it, including myself. But have yet to find the sole problem.

I know it must be with apache, as when SSF, SSC, MGCTF, HS, SSDL, etc. won't load, I login to ftp and it loads fine, no issues. Or I can even be ftping stuff and sites suddenly won't load.

Gonna mention it to TT again, but last time he couldn't find anything, nor ever experienced this. Though I'm not sure how often he browses the sites.

I don't get this problem with any other sites. Although I can't connect to the 17th Parallel zone for some reason, but i think that is unrelated.

I am on a university network, but i wouldn't have thought that would be the issue. I am on a wired connection.

I had a feeling other people would be getting the same problem because the same issue occurs on my work laptop too. That is a linux machine, and my home one is windows.

The times when it doesn't work also appears to be random, making be fairly sure that its not a problem at my end.

I have this problem as well. It happens on the MG forums, but it seems to happen more frequently here (which is odd). Next time it happens I'll try to report a little bit more, but I think it has something to do with when there's an MD5 hash in the URL.

Immediate refresh usually works for me as well, and eventually always works.

Also, anybody notice when you load the front page, it loads once, then loads again (usually just as I'm about to click on a subforum).

I haven't been able to access the forum for days until just now. You were right that all i need to do is remove the "www.", which allows me to read the pages (slowly) but i cannot make any posts through this method because removing the www doesn't help with loading the page in that instance.

Wow I can actually make a post again.

I use AVG Free edition

Have basic Windows Firewall.

Connecting through a university network (i don't know any more than that so don't ask, but i don't get problems with any other site)

Firefox browser (good point though, next time I'll try IE and see what happens)

My Dad has had some problems in Firefox with running websites that require Flash products, although he has Windows Vista (i have XP) and i think this is Microsoft's way of sabotaging Firefox because its becoming more popular than IE (Microsoft will just claim ignorance and say they will make a patch but the damage will be done by then anyway).
