Hakaku Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Has anyone tried using Darwine on the mac to run continuum??? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darwine (...) The biggest issue with porting Continuum is it uses on DirectDraw which is only on Windows.
Cancer+ Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Rootbear, let the mods do their job. Don't tell us what to do. If you look for any virtual programs that will run windows, that would work. VMware would work I believe. There is also VirtualPC. I have used both programs in the past successfully.
»Lynx Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 It can run on Mac using wine, but isn't smooth. I've spent hours trying to get it running smoother but the best FPS I can get is 11fps. It also randomly crashes. For any DirectDraw issues read up here. For more information on the MacWine project read here. Wine on the Mac has only recently got more support, so it's not much right now, however CodeWeavers have been doing well with CrossOver - but that needs to be purchased. I've loaded this up as a trial on my Mac, but it just dies when I try to load Continuum into a bottle. I may put some questions up on a discussion forum or something. -L
»Lynx Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 I've spent the last couple days trying to port by using Cider. All I can say is that I just wasted two days. -L
