Ok so heres an idea for an event. I used the play at 17th parallel (when ppl actually played there) and the biggest event that everyone would specifically make time for was a game called mothership. The map is still up and it says how its played in the upper left of ?go mothership in 17th parallel. Basically you had a mothership, and a bunch of specialized ships on each team. Some were scouts, others were heavy bombers, etc. with the objective of course to destroy the other mother ship. Of course i think they changed the settings since i had been there last because the mother ship used to be enormous in size, which was hilarious. But the game was a blast and everyone loved it. Myabe we could try and incorporate a game like that? Just check out the ?go mothership on 17th its worth a try, maybe just steal it straight from there.

I've thought about that before. I think the recharge is supposed to be small and the energy to be huge, or something like that, and a variety of ships with different uses. Hyperspace's current ship roles may be right for an event like this one.

 

I was also thinking of a large-ish map with open spaces and obstacles along with large structures that can be used to form in/hide. Kind of like caves or hallways that lead to less open rooms, but nowhere near bases.

 

Anyone to get a rock tileset with diagonals, 22.5* angle diagonals. etc? A good one too. smile.gif

It's a shame, turf was the best event there was and it doesn't work anymore. Delete all events but turf, focus on turf in till it's 100% working. Give mods powers to run turf. And we will have a nasty event.

This event is about being able to dodge, its like an upgraded version of dodge, but with an actual person as a shooter, the bobs will have about 150 bounces, the player will sit in the middle, fire a ton of bombs, until the host decides to open the gate and let the bombs free, after each bomb has seeped through the gate, the host will then close the gate, and the event begins.

 

The objective is to stay alive and dodge the bombs, no items.

 

Last person standing wins.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before but is it possible to have an addon that would increase the money you earn?

 

It could be based like something from Comand & Conquer with the Ore Refinery.

 

It would take up an addon spot and give you a % of money added to every kill you make (5-10% maybe?)

 

Also as a bonus it could give you 5% of the flag game reward.

 

This would give more incentive for people to start flag games and possibly keep the pop up.

 

5% may not be a lot but it would give another option for those that need money.

Well, the footing is pretty spaced as it is.

What's a little more?

 

Also, there already is a good bit of incentive, I make more from basing then I do from centering or flagging. But I still believe dings should be increased to about 500$ a ding.

Can we please have bounty back in center. I make no moneyz what so ever. :( The only money I'm really able to make is from events. Rivel hosts events, and I get about 10k-20k. Lol I bounty a lot but I hate when it doesn't count. :/

I absolutely love hyperball, but not so much the new map(s). There's no color other than purple to tell which way to go if I attach to a lanc. Add a few vertical color bars to the horizontal paths with different colors on each side of the bar. Red and Blue would be preferable. I feel like everyone would be able to navigate better this way.

 

Of course, maybe Im just an idiot who has no sense of direction confused.gif

 

This disorientation seems to be impacted strongly by all of the decoys floating around. Lancs slip by like its nothing at all, and next thing you know, your team is being surrounded. Got the ball? Okay, now go that way...no wait...other way?

 

Other than that, the new designs are spot-on.

So hyperball has been updated...

 

 

  • New tileset. I think it looks pretty nice, but all the stereotypes are upset that it's purple. Apparently that makes it homosexual. :D
  • New base using new tileset. It's supposed to have a better flow of gameplay.

 

Settings changes:

  • Spider bullet fire rate nerfed a tad.

  • Repels are a bit smaller, but last a bit longer.

  • Levi and weasel bomb fire rate nerfed a bit.

  • No ship spawns with more than one repel or burst, to reduce item spam

  • Shields times were adjusted, larger ships (corresponding to public ships) have less shield time.

  • Repel and burst price upped a small bit. Not a bad thing for anyone unless you're buying them at a fast rate, at which point it adds up more than before.

  • Lanc has a few less burst bullets.

 

Feedback for the new HB would be great!
