Only one request for my present this year, catid, but I'm not sure if you even have access to this info. If you can get Priitk to let you have ball physics so MERV can actually track a powerball when no one is carrying it, I might very well explode in joy. The possibilities..... *quivers in anticipation*.

now what I want is a bot using pixel-sized screen images and objset to duplicate any image (animated .gif, etc) without having that image added to .lvz

I have the fix for the function that allows the bot to pick up the soccer ball if you need it. Also have a fix for a large problem with event_flaggrab. And a small one for event_flagvictory. I think catid went on vacation for the holidays or something, normally he responds to my email within a day.

 

Im not sure if the bot is able to determine where the ball lands. The ball could bounce off a wall and Im not sure another position packet is sent in that case.

In hyperspace a while ago, me and Nikon made a much smaller-scale version of a bot like that, Akai. It was a wheel of fortune thingy that had 26 letters and a space for each tile on the board, all in lvz. Then we had a bot that would take !convert and convert it to objsets.

 

The fun part about your bot would be that just 4 pixels would require over 1000 (1024) lvz objects if you were using a 256-color palette. o.O

 

Then you'd need an image reader to convert an image into the right data format, and then an algorithm to convert that into objsets. Animated gifs would be just plain INSANE :blink:

um... what was i gonna say, o yea

also for bots, track exact flags, like flag#1=526 724 flag#2=512 512 and all

i like the powerball thing

i want to be able to !say by typing right into the mervBOT console

i want to be able to enter sterringmode or another continuum client using mervBOT

so u can move mervbot around

i want a command to find a player's location, i think this is in packets, but if ur like smod or sysop *locate should give u tile coords

 

 

a map editor to place .lvz's is that one still in dev?

uh lets see, if ContinuumOnly=0 !ship <1-8> will let you move MERVBot around (following somebody), and you'd have to rewrite the core if you want to type into the console if its even possible? Pressing any key kills the bot process.
