MMORPG

Ive been looking to get into an mmorpg again recently, dont know why, i think its because ive got some time to burn, and i know that MMORPG's are the big killer on that subject.

 

Anyway, things im looking for: Not WoW, not maplestory, stop suggesting them.

 

For some reason, I really like pristontale. The world map wasnt too big, skills and classes were simple. It was a very simple game to play. At the time, the graphics were pretty nice, now, they are kinda lame, but hey, all that doesnt matter to me, simplicity is what im aiming for. I dont want to need to read sites and forums for 6 hours to figure out how to do certain shit, its annoying. RagOnline was ok for me, but it got a little boring and too troublesome when it came to making headgears and character jobs. RoseOnline was fun as shit, the only thing that annoyed me about that game was the fact that you need a damn cleric to buff you all the time. Once you get the buff, its like crack, you cant play without it.

 

Anyway, if anyone knows of a good MMORPG thats simple, straight to the point just fun. Lemme know whatcha got.

 

Games I dont want:

 

WoW, Knight Online, Guild Wars, Maplestory, stupid ass Runescape, Rakion, 2moons.

Interesting, I have played three of the games you listed.

 

PT, good starter game, but man.... when you get into like level 40+ it's GRINDING.

 

GW, nice and all. Problem after is that everyone started playing the expansion so then i couldn't finish the original story But at least that game HAD a story.

Playing private servers isn't the same at all. I have played a few...and milking bugs for leveling was soo much fun... then then they reset a lot, and kills everything. And when i did some digging a few months ago the ones i knew are closed up.

If Rose didn't go pay to play, I honestly think i would be still playing it. No game has ever gone close to the enjoyment i had with that game.

It has everything I needed. Simple, colorful, STORY....i know a non-retail box MMO with a story? Who knew one was out there?

I have lost intrest in MMO's for the time being.

A friend of mine is playing Rappelz It isn't bad. It did different things with job classes, pets, and so on.

The down side is well... the game isn't pay to play, however, for you advancing in the game a lot of people drop $$ at their cashshop. You can play the game with out any money at all, but ALOT of people do drop money. My friend (with no job) drops like $100 every two months or so.

I don't have too much to suggest, because i too have been looking for a nice mmorpg lately.

 

I've been playing counterstrike, and found that those 400x private maplestory servers can be pretty cool for a week or two before you burn it out.

 

I played Silk Road Online and it was cool while i was playing it, though it took a while to get the game started (boring repetitive quests to get you used to the game in the beginning). The only reason i don't play it now is because it just didn't give me enough reason to open it back up lol. Just no urge, though it is cool when i do play it.

 

I'd suggest Tribes 2 also - but it's a quick FPS, what would maybe classify it as an MMORPG is the hundreds of different guns/weapons you can use, the different packs, armors (like jobs), etc.

BUT... It would be very hard to find for free - last time i tried(free download, though CD key needed). And it might not even work - company could have shut down master server by now.
