PoLiX Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Savin...-your-city.aspx We crunched some numbers from the Census Bureau to reveal what it takes to be a top earner in 40 of the largest metro areas. And since people define "rich" differently, we calculated average incomes for the top 20% of households, and the top 5%, in each area. Finally, we estimated what would constitute a "rich" income for a couple with no kids, and for a family of four, in each scenario.
Samapico Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 the kids / no kids scenario are pretty much made up numbers... The 'with kids' is exactly 2x the 'no kids' ... Sure 4 is twice as much as 2, but kids and adults have different needs, and it doesn't cost you 2.00000x more for 4 than for 2. Anyway... interesting...
