Continuum and Wireless

So, I am in school, and I can't get continuum to start with the wireless offered by the school, is there a way to get around this..?

ps: technically, continuum starts, its just that all the zones are red and wont let me into them..

they could have it locked, most schools filter out games/porn ect

also, what type of school are you in?

if you're in a university probably, since EVERYONE who isnt in a dorm room or building is using it, they disable just about every port except for a few of them.

best bet would be to use ethernet. they are usually a LOT less restrictive on ethernet

although if you still want to chat, try using one of the chat clients (Starlight, ChatNut (both web and standalone version), SubChat2)... they might work

Uh... chat clients are no different than the actual client...

My university blocks Continuum/ports on one of its networks, but not on the other one (which requires a VPN client).

huh... weird.. i've been able to use chat clients but not the game before...

Maybe you proxy it through a port that they do have open?

 

I guess that may increase lag though... Or worse; you may get caught
