  • There are 20 flags. (See http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=22126)
  • Players can carry up to 7 flags at a time (still takes 3 players to win a game from completely neuted).
  • Periodic rewards were adjusted to compensate for more flags.
  • Flag spawn radius increased to allow the possibility of spawning in other sectors.

 

Additionally, Friday evening and all of Saturday will be public frequencies only for as long as staff members with settings access can be bothered to keep it up.

Like Arnk said, wall neuts will be a problem.

 

Also, I thought you were trying to encourage flagging. Since this has been implemented, I've just seen a bunch of people flying around center with flags.

 

Once in a while you should do hosted flag games. Maybe start a league, which has been suggested before. It really isn't that hard or time consuming.

make an event where there are 2 bases and 2 teams...have a center with the bases on the right and left...make flags spawn in the center...set a jp and cant win right away and have to wait a certain time limit until you can win...wasnt there an event like this a long time ago Edited by Domio

Too many reds in center to hunt them all and flags already spawn to other sectors in beginning. So, it's safe to say that atleast couple of flags are hidden in each game.

In my opinion running around in nothingness for half an hour looking for flags so we could win some lousy 3k price doesn't really count as fun.

Yes, you made flag games longer.

Yes, you made them much less fun.

Yes, now we can wallneut again.

 

I can see how basing is going to de-evolve back to private teams and brickspamming.

Just out of curiosity, why would priv freqs be removed during peak times of the week and not during the week? Wouldn't it be the other way around? During a low population, you would rather it be concentrated on two freqs so basing happens. While when population is high, the amount of players are allowed to expand into privs?

Having to search for flags isn't fun, but even with 5 flags people could pick them up and hide them on the walls in the ice bases (best hiding spot EVAR!). If it's really terrible it may be made better, just wait

This is what I have said all along, the "hyperspace tunnel" have long out lived thier usefullnes. We need something that is more central. The Center could be huge with two bases one at each end.

 

Why always have 7 bases when only 3 at the most are used on any given mapset. There is far too much empty space

linear-key one reason this zone is bad, wall neuting is just detrimental to the game

20 flags just made the zone worse then it was when it had 5 flags. We are just running into a pit of fire right before our eyes....

 

Also, I though you wanted to make flag games quick, brain? Not longer..

Ugh. 20 flags. I see so many places where the flags will get lamed.

I dont like the 20 flags. Takes longer to find and easier to hide :\

Bring it down to 10 flags, 4 flags a person. smile.gif

 

EDIT mack pub 5 man MAX and make it so their are 40 flags.

with timed rewards for atleast 10 flags.
