Stibbymicto Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Is it possible to implement a brick that instead of sending lanc back to safe, just pushes it back a little? -I quit playing Continuum to continue to work on my studies in I.B. I'll probably be back a little from time on the account Fx but it isn't set in stone yet.-
protocol_ Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.. Brickwarping lancs are a lot of fun and that would destroy it!!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/DarkLink/fieldsig.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/DarkLink/protorec.jpg Masaru> are you done with workProtocol_> no i actually got work in 30 minutes Masaru> :<Protocol_ has to go to work in 30 minutes ! -Masaru
Dr Brain Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 Not easily. Which these days means no. Freedom is the right to be wrong.
Kilo Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 I wouldn't say not easily. I'd say no. Brickwarping is continuum's reaction to having a brick placed on top of it, the only way to prevent that is to not place bricks on top of people. Lag would prevent any work around from working 100%, but a workaround that disallowed using bricks when enemies were relatively close would be good enough.
Mat Cauthon Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 tell the enemy to use sparse brick, it barely works I object!
protocol_ Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 but a workaround that disallowed using bricks when enemies were relatively close would be good enough. but that is when you want the brick to work.. you aren't going to place a brick behind your own team to have that as a fall back point plus by the time you get pushed back that far the brick might disappear by then. you want the brick to be placed right in front of the enemy and that proximity you are talking about would disable that. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/DarkLink/fieldsig.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/DarkLink/protorec.jpg Masaru> are you done with workProtocol_> no i actually got work in 30 minutes Masaru> :<Protocol_ has to go to work in 30 minutes ! -Masaru
Exiili Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 Why not have another lanc in your freq incase you do get brickwarped?
Sharpflame Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 (edited) What Exiili said. It wasn't that hard in the old days, if your lanc got brickwarped, there was always a backup or the whole team would scream "noobs"... works just fine, brickwarping isn't a huge deal Edited November 22, 2008 by Sharpflame 3

Acer Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 (edited) Why is my post being deleted every time I post.... Brick warping is a factor in every zone, get over it. The way to stop brick warping is to lay a brick. Stop a brick with a brick, or just have a back lanc like most freqs have, well most freqs with out a lot of noobs. Brick warping is just a way to be lame, and to quickly clear a base, same with a coffin. There isn't really a way to stop brick warping with out taking the bricks out all together. Dr Brain Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 Your posts were deleted because they added nothing to the discussion. Freedom is the right to be wrong.
Kilo Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 I don't know why MY post was deleted since I was just refuting that brickwarping has to be a factor in every zone since it doesn't have to be here, and that Acer is mistaken in general in his above post.
Dr Brain Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 Your post was deleted because you were flaming a post that I deleted. It didn't make sense afterward. Freedom is the right to be wrong.
