Corey Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 When I open 2 maps (1 map seems to be fine but 2 maps always does this)i can see the map overview, but i can't see the screen, it is just plain white, even when i move around the screen is just white. Quote
Samapico Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 Which version are you using? Do you open 2 maps one at a time from the File -> Open menu, or open 2 at the same time with a right-click -> open from Windows Explorer ? Which resolution is your screen? Try making DCME's window smaller before opening them.. .I used to have similar problems and it could have something to do with the amount of memory needed. Also, does your maps have any ASSS regions? If you're using one of the latest betas, activate the Debug mode (help -> debug mode), then in the debug menu, select 'Layer Screenshots'It should create a couple of .bmp files, zip them up and attach here. Corey Posted November 15, 2008 Author Report Posted November 15, 2008 Ok, i did the debug mode, but when i wne to take the screenshot it says. Run-time error '480': Cannot create autoredraw image Quote
Samapico Posted November 15, 2008 Report Posted November 15, 2008 hmmm... that's probably why it's all blank then... Now answer those other questions Quote
Corey Posted November 16, 2008 Author Report Posted November 16, 2008 Which version are you using?: the latest one, i mean very latest. Do you open 2 maps one at a time from the File -> Open menu?: yes Which resolution is your screen? Try making DCME's window smaller before opening them.. .I used to have similar problems and it could have something to do with the amount of memory needed.:this shouldnt matter since i can see the mini map. Also, does your maps have any ASSS regions?:yes, one with regions one without. If you're using one of the latest betas, activate the Debug mode (help -> debug mode), then in the debug menu, select 'Layer Screenshots'It should create a couple of .bmp files, zip them up and attach here. Drake7707 Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 The minimap and the actual map are on 2 different device contexts, it could very well be that the gfx memory required for the minimap is enough, but not enough for the entire map. How much ram do you have on your gfx card ? I noticed that the autoredraw depends on free ram on the video card, I remember trying to load a 8000x8000 image once and that worked, but afterwards once i started psp9, it gave me an error. I had to reduce it to 5000x5000 or something in order to let it work again, closing psp8 and retrying with the original dimensions didn't seem to work :/ Quote
Samapico Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 this shouldnt matter since i can see the mini map.Yeah... as Drake said, it does matter The minimap is actually a 1024x1024 image stretchblt'ed in that smaller area. The main map is several layers drawn on top of each other, and in your case, atleast one of these operations fail for some reason. So I'd like to know:-Your screen resolution-Video card memory Also try to see if this happens at any zoom level; if you fully zoom out, it might display And try with a smaller window too. Oh, and what's the memory usage of DCME when this happens? You can see that in the task manager, or from the debug menu as well That bug is really hard to reproduce, so the more info I can get, the better Quote
