i agree fully with maka...the upper staff could not be dumber. Vile is completely re-*BAD WORD*-ed he thinks he's god and he's helping the zone, but if he's helping so much why do the best squads and vets have to leave a league to get their point across...pern, yes she's sweet and yes we all love her but my god...head sysop? i have nothing against women at all even in high positions, but get someone who's strong and willing to stand up to someone. I have no problems with the rest of upper staff except i have one more thing to say GET OFF YOUR LAZY !@#$%^&*ES AND DO WHAT U SAY YOU'RE GOING TO...empty promises do nothing but cause problems...so ffs change the way things are going...the only reason the zone has a higher population now is the server change...with this server 17th could be huge like TW...but we need a real upper staff first

Fire me if you guys have to in order to try to keep flaming quiet...but its no secret we are just about the worst staff ever...i did a great job with jwl and elim. agreed foof, Look at the vertern base these days, its slim to none. But maybe thats what upper staff wanted. They just wanted to get rid of the vets and start over. They are doing a good job if thats what they wanted to do.

rofl. Nurples was no different than Vile and Zeke: neither knew what they were doing or how their changes affect the gameplay.

 

Neither of them were real players, so neither of them would know how to serve the players better.

 

How "fast" the changes are/were made is not the point, it's WHAT you change and how you can change to make the zone better.

 

As long as the changes are for the better, the faster is always best, but you have to think about how the changes affect the zone as a whole.

 

But most of the things that I mentioned needed change were OBVIOUS things.

Not all upper staff are lazy, for instance look at rifleman, he seriously worked his -*BAD WORD*- off with bots. I don't know if I'm a veteran (I do play 17th for almost 3 years), but I've thought about quitting 17th many times, especially after the old Jav was crippled to a piece of -*BAD WORD*-. The problem of 17th Staff is that they don't listen to what the players have to say. They do what they want to do, while they should listen to what THE PLAYERS have to say. Without the players, there is no 17th. So why not concentrating a little more on the things we want and a little less on what YOU want?

I myself was a player for a long long time until 1-2 months ago. the staff doesn't listen to what the players say. He is right when he says that. I think reload said that.

 

One of the problems is, these "player" ideas arnt posted on the forum. Post on the forum and get noticed. If you tell a staff member directly. I really don't think they will follow up on it. We need to get these forums in use.

Dude, Maka, I used Nurples because it was a good, direct quote. Dire is one of my best friends, and so was EO. Dire quit the zone originally because everyone said he did nothing, and flamed him about any setting changes he made(If I'm not mistaken, it is early). Now everyone is saying what a good job both of them did, and why can't all staff be like them.

 

You all complain that "upper staff" is awful, and doesn't listen to your ideas. Well for all of you who know so much, I'll enlighten you all just a little more.

If you complain to a smod about pub, a smod can't do anything for you except get that idea to telson, vile, pern, nurps, or mike. And when we get that idea to them, that doesn't mean it happens. Or happens immediately.

 

No our upper, and lower staff are not perfect. But we all have jobs. I am league coordinator, if you have a league idea, or something to do with leagues, I handle that. I've never turned away an idea, and have yet to even say that an event cannot be tested yet either. So that makes me a nazi upper staffer? Because I don't flame vile about what "the players" want?

 

I do what I can. Nothing more nothing less. This game takes a lot of time out of your life. And as an upper staffer, it takes twice as much time as it does a lower staffer. We all do what we believe is best for the zone and the players. Yes we will get all the javers flaming us everyonce and awhile. And then we'll get the pubbers flamming us once we cater directly to either one. So we do what's best overall.

 

I hear all this talk of "vets" in the 17th. I've never once heard a pubber be called a vet. Zio did go with me on saying that he knew some pubber vets, but with all of you "vets" out there, how many would admit that there are pub vets? How many would admit that I'm a vet?

 

I'm not saying staff is perfect, but we all try. No one sits up here and says "let's ignore everyone, and drive all the players from 17th!" Yes we do respect the vets opinions, but you are just so plain rude. I mean I never ever get thanked for hosting anything when a vet is playing. I was hosting some league matches, and every thing I did, I got a "Thank you" from, or every question ended with "Please".

 

Just ask Joker if he gets a chance to be on this post. He was prolly one of the most disrespectful people, overall, on the forum to the staff in general, not everyone, but a good chunk of the staff. He had a nice, respectful talk with me. As of right now I'm on his chat, working with him over yahoo on a map idea of his, and putting a few of his ideas into motion. I want to be able to help everyone. But I am a busy man. If you show me respect, your ideas will be heard. Even if I don't say "great idea, I'll do that right away" they are heard. Not even show me respect directly, just be respectful. Yes I know this is just an online game, so who needs to be respectful? But if you want something heard, that is the way to go about doing it.

 

And for those of you who have been respectful, and think your ideas are not heard, they are heard, and might be in use, as someone might have taken part of your idea, and part of their own, and merged it into one idea.

Hmm... I dont want to say much on this topic, I have too many strong opinions it will hurt alot of people which will probably get me in the -*BAD WORD*-ter.

 

Some of the most loyal staffers in 17th are your ER's and Mods. There aint much doubt about it, but also you find some of your most immature are also. I have to agree with Maka on his truth post, ALOT of ER's dont get hardly any training. I refused to host any events until I had about 4 days worth of training becuase 1) I didnt want to -*BAD WORD*- up and 2) I wanted to know everything I could of being a ER.

 

My real life friend naedhaha was recently promoted and instead of being properly told I had to send him a notepad with commands, listings of events and -*BAD WORD*-, because he wasnt properly told and didnt understand everything.

 

The current Mods we have are good people, friendly and nice, Mav, Tempest and Cokey being the main 3 while we have alot of usless ER's and alot have been fired. I try my -*BAD WORD*-ed hardest for instance to get the not so well known and stranger games like hostage and bankrob hosted when I am online and can do (although recently REALLY bad lag has stopped me performing to my best in event hosting). We need to get ER's in who are willing to do things for everyone and help everyone, so I am partially on Maka's side here.
