Guest Zerville Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Ye... what is this? i downloaded it at subspacedownloads and installed tried to start but i get a viruswarning in the .exe file
PoLiX Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Have it ignore it and allow it through. It is a special security measure Priit took to keep the exe secure and keep people from easily being able to hack/edit it. Can read more about Snrrrub's findings of it here: http://sharvil.nanavati.net/projects/subspace/unpex.html
CRe Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 This is a known problem. Try adding Continuum to your exception list inside your AV program.
Samapico Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 Apparently, some virus makers use this same kind of packing thing, so that's why some antivirus programs warn you about it.
rootbear75 Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 (edited) Apparently, some virus makers use this same kind of packing thing, so that's why some antivirus programs warn you about it.this is the explanation i heard, and i always tell people best thing to do to get rid of it: Send BOTH the installer AND the .exe file to your AV company as a sample. Look in the Support section of their website. should be in there. Edited October 20, 2008 by rootbear75
