SeVeR Posted October 11, 2008 Report Posted October 11, 2008 (edited) http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7662820.stm Considering Palin's history of abusing power, in particular to fire people who disagreed with her, i'm not surprised by the outcome of this investigation. Lets hope that she is stopped in her tracks and will lose any opportunity to gain further power from this point on. Edited October 11, 2008 by SeVeR Quote
»doc flabby Posted October 11, 2008 Report Posted October 11, 2008 (edited) You know i think shes actually really hurt McCains campaign. I'm not a massive fan of obama, but the thought of her being in command of the worlds most powerful country truly terrifies me. Just remember...only a heart beat away.... Aceflyer Posted October 11, 2008 Report Posted October 11, 2008 I wasn't surprised by the outcome either. Quote
SeVeR Posted October 11, 2008 Author Report Posted October 11, 2008 As much as i agree with flabby that she has hurt McCain significantly, and is probably responsible for his massive dip in the polls, i would rather just not see her on the ticket at all. I suppose she has damaged the reputation of people like her though so i'm glad for that. Quote
NBVegita Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 "The US presidential race has now become so polarised both Republicans and Democrats will likely see the report's findings as vindication for their own trenchant views about Mrs Palin, says the BBC's Richard Lister in Washington. Alaska's governor will either be seen as the victim of a Democratic party hatchet job, or a hypocrite. Most voters, for now at least, seem more concerned about who will extract them from the current economic crisis, rather than any questions about political infighting in far-off Alaska, our correspondent adds." I think that just about sums it up. I think little things like this don't bother me because all politicians do these things, McCain, Palin, Obama, Biden, Bush, Gore, Clinton, Bush Sr., I could go all day. It's just a matter of who gets caught. You don't become a politician of that maginitude without playing dirty somewhere. Overall there are much more significant issues to decide an election over than if the VP candidate tried to get her abusive ex-brother in-law fired. Quote
