Samapico Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 Get it now From http://dcme.sscentral.com New beta release available 3.4.0 - 29/09/2008 I'm almost done with all these improvements in DCME. A few things are still left to do, which is why this release is not yet available through auto-update.Basically, the whole process of drawing stuff on the screen is about 2 to 4 times faster. Several details are now properly rendered as well. For example, transparent fly-under tiles are now rendered with transparency, and each LVZ image is on its respective layer.Several other things have been fixed or improved:Ellipses and special shapes are not slow to draw anymore, and are more accurateAll known memory leaks are fixedWalltiles now have their own tab in the tileset!@#$%^&*S regions are now handled MUCH faster There are a few minor known glitches in this release, mainly graphic-related, but nothing critical. You should try it out. Please report any anomaly on our forum. -Samapico There are also probably a couple of things I was using to debug that were left there...And I just remembered I didn't remove the tile preview thing, it's still at that ugly spot, half over the tileset's toolbar I also want to see if the new system has any compatibility issues. I'm curious to see if it works on windows 95 or 98... If anyone has that, try stuff involving transparency, and ASSS regions, see what it does It will either be very slow, or simply won't work. There is a chance most of this work on 98 though. But anyway, basically no one is using these OS anymore, according to stats from here and dcme.sscentral.com, so I'm not worried
Samapico Posted October 4, 2008 Author Report Posted October 4, 2008 Released patch 3.4.01 -Fixed crash when using the 'Add LVZ Image...' form-LVZ map objects not limited to 32767 anymore (2 billions is the approximate max. )-Fixed the 'TransparentBLT failed' thing It's still beta, however...There are still some issues with LVZ's, like when selecting them, the selection rectangle doesn't always appear correctly; with some tools, lvz's only appear when you're completely done drawing, and they don't animate yet either
RiiStar Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 When clicking the button to Hide the TileSet etc it throws an error on this version. "Run-time error: 340; Control array element '0' doesn't exist"
Samapico Posted November 5, 2008 Author Report Posted November 5, 2008 I just put up 3.4.03 up, with that fix And you can try out the lvz selection Selection rectangles don't work yet, but you can click on objects to select them; only way to unselect them now is to click in empty space Also, you can have a first look at the way it handles the Image Editor... though it might not even work, I was in the middle of doing stuff in there
