rootbear75 Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 (edited) I have a HP Laserjet 1020. For some reason when i plug it into a different USB port than i originally plugged it in on, it made a copy. I have tried to get rid of these copies for a while, and it just says Error: Deleting printer. And they never delete. So now when i try to re-add it manually, it doesnt work either.I don't know what else to do. Edited September 18, 2008 by rootbear75

Cancer+ Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 Try to delete the ports first. Did you try that?
Samapico Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Yeah, you have 4 copies of the same printer... clean this up a bit
rootbear75 Posted September 19, 2008 Author Report Posted September 19, 2008 "mysty on mysty" o.O?Mysty is our bird's name. stepmother named the computer after the bird... stupid imo Try to delete the ports first. Did you try that?So delete USB001-004?i saw the place to delete it yesterday when i was messing around trying to figure it out, now i cant find the window. Yeah, you have 4 copies of the same printer... clean this up a bit I know, i tried. FInally found out why. Apparently the print queue's had never been fully deleted. As soon as i did that, they deleted right off.should i try adding it again by plugging it in?
rootbear75 Posted September 19, 2008 Author Report Posted September 19, 2008 Strangely it works now. After deleting ALL copies of the printer (Including the original) i plugged it back in, it installed drivers, and works.. dont know what the !@#$%^&* happened :/
Cancer+ Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 It was probably confused or something. Something was conflicting.
