Guest Divine Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Download Sandboxie at http://www.sandboxie.com/run continuum.exe inside a sandboxThat is all.
stisev Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 Download Sandboxie at http://www.sandboxie.com/run continuum.exe inside a sandboxThat is all. This is exactly what I'm doing. My continuum crashes 100% and then quits, then restarts with 100% CPU, then quits, then restarts, and so on. This happens so fast that I cannot kill the offending original process and I must either logoff or restart. I run it in Sandboxie and it runs fine. I believe the problem has to do with a registry entry of unknown origin
🜲 Samapico Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 The problem is usually caused by an antivirus trying to kill Continuum for some reason, and Continuum restarting itself http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/88/Half-Life_Black_Mesa_logo.svg/120px-Half-Life_Black_Mesa_logo.svg.pngDCME co-developerSSCU 17th Parallel sysop
stisev Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 Samapico, not on my system it isn't.I've read the forum, the faq, common problems, etc. Turned off DEP for continuum (and even completely using some utilities), no AV software running on my system.

stisev Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 You forgot either personal software or network hardware firewalls No software FW on my comp (XP one is disabled) Network hardware firewall is irrelevant, since SS works fine in Sandboxie.
