Hey HS Players

 

Most of ya know who i am, many thanks to the people welcoming me back to hs! Usually when school time comes around i like to spend a few hours a day on hs (mostly to talk these days).

 

I am here to try and make HS a little more fun, I have already talked with mods and they are ok with this and NO... i will not be an event mod or anything of the sort. I remember a few years back i used to host tournaments and with help of mods they were fun, challenging and exciting for newbs to pros. I have not decided yet but I think there will be an entry fee of $5k which should be good enough. All This money will be put in the jackpot. There will prizes... First place will get 50% of jackpot, 2nd place will get 25% of jackpot, and the 2 people that got into semi finals and lost will get 12.5% (unless the want to dual each other to get the full 25%) of jackpot. I will not be making any money off this because that is not the idea for this. But i will accept donations, let me know if your donating to me or for the jackpot. If you are donating... then please send me a message on the forum that you have and how much!

 

What type of Tournaments will i host? Well I will be hosting many types, from a specific ship to a specific place. First tournament will be a warbird/javelin only match, with your preferred ships. It will be 1 vs 1 and it is first player to get 2 kills! I will not allow use of items in the match (at this time).

 

Why participate? Alot of people think that they are not good enough to win. It's not about winning, it is about having fun. If you lose o well, if you win... you get to brag a little. Make a name for yourself when it comes to skill.

 

I will take any tournament suggestions, your ideas for a tournament are welcome. And if you just want to watch and not actually be in the tournament... that is ok aswell.

 

I have one question... what time is best for you guys to hold a tournament... post your ideas, suggestions here and ill reply back as much as i can!

Well, so far i am thinking Saturday or Friday late afternoon, early night (EST time) after a flag game is finished.

Add additional rules, such as SoP/no SoP, and it'd be more efficient to simply select a time instead of asking the players their preferred times. Nothing will get done that way.

 

Also I'd like to know the limit of participants.

Ah... I remember the old warbird duel you hosted 3vil! I owned that one!

 

 

If I'm around for this one then I'll play under the conditions that I don't lag and that I have more than a stock jav (I've played enough to earn JACK this reset)

 

 

edit; good time I guess is the evening, or maybe right after a flag game in the evening since otherwise the pop drops to 11 specs.

 

You should have it like the old days and get a mod to get you money to give to winners, however if you take away the money then it eliminates the chance of having whiners/greedy ASSS play in it

Event co-ordinatorsdont work too well in hs... only event i want to do is tournaments! its the most fun in my opinion.... to watch and to play in!

 

and yes back then i had the help if dbe and i used 100's of thousands of money outa my own pocket... which i would do... but im not rich. But if mods are willing to grant ppl winnings or grant me money to put into jackpot... i wont complain lol. I will be putting a little into the jackpot myself!

 

I see Rivel does a good job with events anyway!

You dont really need Ecoords....more like E-Refs but then again there isnt a lot of events that are hostable and allowed (due to # of events hosted per week thingy? Correct me if Im wrong).

 

But anyways, good luck 3vil. If it turns out well, I will think about sponsoring your event =)
