Sharpflame Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 I saw the term "relic" somewhere in HS... well, anyway... Holy Brick$12KDescription: Blah blah holyness blah blah brickness blah blah epicness Creates a very large (Think a cross that is 4-5 tiles thick on each line) brick which extends from the center point at a rate which is dodgable (to prevent lame brickwarping). Acquired by buying the Holy Brick, and then using 37 bricks in a base (not in a twout or warpout region [not where you can use ?jump or ?tw]). Once the 37 bricks have been properly used, the holy brick is prized and is used via cmd or regular F4. It will stay with the player until it is used. I had more.... hm.... Pegasus Thrusters (Gay name, right?)$9.9KDescription: Gives godly attributes related to movement Acquired by ... there's probably a better one for this: Using 250 rockets. Gives maximum speed, thrust, rotation, +5 rocketmax, +3 Portal, and -5 Afterburner. Lasts three lives.Should probably increase bulletenergy and bulletdelay, same with bomb. Uh... Invulnerability$15KDescription: Makes the user invulnerable for a price Acquired by using 400 repels in a base or outside of warp regions. This makes the user 99% invulnerable for 37 seconds, meaning they will take almost 0 damage from everything and anything, and they will be able to shoot. However, once activated, they cannot move (Engine shutdown or mess with movement settings) until the invulnerability wears off. Hercules Charge$16KDescription: Lets the user shoot weapons for 0 energy cost. Acquired by firing a total of 1000 times with guns, bombs, mines, thors, and bursts combined, meaning that you can fire 500 times with guns and 500 times with bombs to unlock it. This one should be relatively easy to get, but more expensive and a little less useful than the others. It prizes super. Perhaps 100 seconds? And that's that Quote
protocol_ Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 I like the idea of these a lot. They will add a new and fun twist to the game. However, instead of buying the relic every time, why not make the relics cost more but stay with your ship. E.I.: Say you use your Holy Brick once it was activated. Instead of buying the relic again to activate the holy brick why not make the tally of bricks reset to zero and have the relic become inactive until you reach 37 bricks. Quote

Because then the whole population just has to buy them at a different time and viola, relic spamzr0x And thanks for the reminder proto: Third EyePrice: $6.7KDescription: Gives the user access to normally unknown information. Acquired by ... Eh, not sure about this one. How about "Make 100 kills with bombs"? Probably isn't trackable though. Whatever.Edit: Thanks to proto, we have the idea of acquiring the item via field usage. 10 fields = unlocked? It gives a +4 mapzoom, see flags in spec, see flag holders as red dot on big radar (is this for flags or only ball?). Also gives X. This lasts four lives. Edited August 27, 2008 by Sharpflame Quote
omni Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 No offense... try fixing what's wrong with the current HS instead of putting new things in. Plus those ideas will never work.. Quote
OrangeeoZ Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 No offense... try fixing what's wrong with the current HS instead of putting new things in. Plus those ideas will never work.. 100% agreed. I do like the third eye so people won't runwin Quote
Sharpflame Posted August 27, 2008 Author Report Posted August 27, 2008 you can always revive my old topic where you post what you think is wrong with the zone in detail :\ honestly I doubt anyone would do up the code for this, I'm mostly having fun just brainstorming. I would make m0dzul3z but I lack skill in python Quote
Noobclear Missile Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 (edited) "see flags in spec" I know certain people in this zone who would use it to prevent flag games... not runwins.Other ideas are nice, but like omni said, there's a few issues in HS already that need attention. Sharpflame Posted August 29, 2008 Author Report Posted August 29, 2008 focus on the relics, not the other stuff Quote
Linear-Key Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 I don't think it's possible to show flagger on the large map.And how would "see flags in spec" work if you're in spec (not in the ship that has the item)? Quote
omni Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 (edited) Kills by bombs/guns are trackable, though I'm not sure if it's trackable on ASSS. Edited August 30, 2008 by omni Quote
tiss61 Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 i really like the invulnerability, it can definitely help both attack and defenders. cause it's 37 seconds of invulnerability time so that's more than enough time to revive your team if your whole team dies. Quote

Maybe there could also be a requirement for full energy to use it so that it doesn't become just a "save my life" feature. Edited September 12, 2008 by Kelaiah Quote
rootbear75 Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 see flag holders as red dot on big radarBall only. of course, an LVZ could just as easily change that Quote
Acer Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 Good ideas, sf. Item Block $10k Puts a cage brick around you and follows you where ever you go and blocks any item other then thors. Lasts about a min or two. A Brick mount is needed to use. Quote
Corey Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 overpowered? should be a sparce cage. Quote

Perhaps 100 seconds?Again, wouldn't a mod ned to be online to prize super? or a bot with mod powers? Dude, Have you ever wondered how you got prized shields when you attach to a ship with out summon? It's called a module or it's just a little code in the HS Core. This Item would be the same as that, just with out the attaching and the shields, but with super. Quote
