Who will be the minority?

So, in the daily newspaper here in the UK it says that by the year 2034 white people will become the minority in America. One of the reasons are because of m!@#$%^&* immagration. Without any racism what are your opinions on this?

Well it seems like it will happen in the UK because of people from the middle east moving there.

No, it won't happen in the UK because white birthrates are going up, you have a large racist voting bloc, and England has always been highly skeptical of the EU and any kind of integration, which will put the brakes on immigration sometime in the future.

 

However, in the US, it's pretty much a foregone conclusion, because nobody here has an interest in shutting the borders down. The lefties want to keep them open on vastly exaggerated humanitarian grounds, while the righties want them open so they can keep cheap labor and racism alive.

 

I don't really think this will have a huge effect on the country, although it will add to the shift in a liberal direction, as the majority of the immigrants coming in are from very disadvantaged backgrounds, and the idea that someone with a bad education and hard life can "make it on their own" isn't as attractive to them, even if they are willing to work hard, because they want to see at least some results. They've already seen what happened to the Koreans, after all.

2034 is probably the most extreme date that can be made here. It probably !@#$%^&*umes continuing high levels of immigration, continually big gaps in birth rates, and probably includes all people of Hispanic origin as non white. Any way who cares? African Americans are only part black and part white on average and the same goes for Mexican Americans. If this is a race war white people won a long time ago and otherwise Mexicans integrate just as fast if not faster than the former large scale immigration groups (Italians, Irish, Germans, etc). It's really a non problem that people panic about because they like to ignore history and it makes life more interesting. Edited August 15, 2008 by AstroProdigy

ya, just because we are the minority doesnt mean anything

We will still be the majority in all government issues however.

im guessing this is minority as in under 50%, but not an actual minority in that it'd be like 49% - 30% - 13% - 8% "other"? i know that hispanics will become the absolute majority sooner or later, but def not by 2034.
