If you're asking yourself this question, here's the answer:

 

You probably posted after Testtube moved the stuff from the old server to the new server... and since he only told me a bit later to close down the forum, some posts were posted on the old server, and got nuked when the DNS started to point to the new server.

Yeah, this morning I logged on to the forums to see what reply Aileron made to my awe-inspiring post in the political forum, and I was like.. WTF. But what I don't get is why there was such a lag between deleted-posting time and forum downtime. It was a few hours or something, wasn't it?

I don't know at what time Testtube did the copy...

 

But it was maybe around 10:30pm EST that he asked me to set the forum as disabled. At that time, the new server was already set up, and the domain was pointing to the new server.

 

However, for the DNS to spread, it can take several hours, depending on ISPs. At my work, ssforum.net only started sending me to the new server this afternoon.

I'd guess that they were removed by a Moderator or Administrator for undisclosed reasons.

It only happens when "we" have a falling out with "them." THEM, of course, is just the acronym for Those Having Extraordinary Mentalities, a group of supervillains with mind-altering powers. No one's sure how much power THEM has, but THEM has been launching ever-more-common attacks on the free world in the past weeks. Some even believe THEM is ready to strike and take over the universe. in some of the squads forums, my posts have been deleted because the forum leader is a !@#$%^&*.

my posts followed all of the rules, and still got deleted. I say you take away her powers

As far as squad and zone forums go, the squad/zone leaders probably have the authority to decide what is and isn't acceptable in their squad's/zone's boards. For example, in the past, some posts in HS' boards were edited because of HS' no swearing rule; those posts would have been perfectly fine in other parts of SSForum.

Its a squad forum. They can delete whatever they want in it.

I always knew mods can delete posts and what not.....thought there was another reason like random memory rollback XD

Usually, the user must be told so when a post is deleted. Squad and zone owners, however, can moderate as they wish in their forum.
