graphics error

whenever i try to enter a zone, the whole screen turns black and it exits continuum and displays an error that says:

 

"failed to load graphics file ship1.bm2"

 

what do i do to fix this?

 

also, i am using a mac (so i have windows vista on my parallels desktop and i run continuum on vista)

Uninstall, then reinstall Continuum from http://www.getcontinuum.com

 

It sounds silly as an answer, but tell me if this helps.

ship1.bm2 isn't a standard graphics file, so I'm not sure if reinstalling would be a good solution. Which zone are you trying to enter? Are you running Continuum with administrator privileges?

 

A bad ship1.bm2 may mean their ships lvz file has a bad ship1.bm2, which should only affect that zone. If it affects all the zones then you have a different issue. Try renaming the bm2 to a bmp if you can (you may have to build the lvz yourself) to see if your Mac/Vista recognizes bm2 (which is really bmp).

the error i had affected every zone i tried joining.

 

i reinstalled it and it let me in the zone, but now my graphics look really messed up what do i do?

Go into Advanced Options, and then select "Software Emulation". Click ok, and then enter a zone.

 

@Purge, that's exactly why I suggested a reinstall.

Even after reinstalling Continuum with an installer? O_o Erhm, since you're trying to run it on Mac I don't know how I could help.
