Yupa Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Look,I need someone to please make a Linux Continuum? My friend is trying to play but Rifleman says it wont work unless its on a Subspace client....? yes...to play this game you have to ACTUALLY USE THE SOFTWARE... anyways, you can try out snrrrubspace or get a Windows emulator or just install Windows Quote
Guest CR0SSFIRE Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Does anyone happen to know a Windows Emulator that would do this? The only one I believe I've heard about is called WINE I think. Quote
Versetti Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 How would you duel boot a computer then???????? Quote
Killing Ape Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 which linux are you using firstly? mostly all the brands of linux comes with dual booting software which works with windows... GRUB comes with redhat and it does everything for you Quote
Guest Guest Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 From what I`ve heard, WINE doesen`t fully emulate windows directX, thus making it impossible to emulate subspace in that way on a linux box.Not sure if WINE has been improved to fully support directX games yet, but I don`t believe it has. Snruubspace gives you the option of playing subspace on a linux box from what I`ve heard, though I think it requires the player to be on VIP.txt or similar to work. -Rifle Quote
Guest Guest_sara Posted January 24, 2004 Report Posted January 24, 2004 Why 98?because windows 98 second edition owns all of the other windows OS'sin my opinion. Quote
1stStrike Posted January 24, 2004 Report Posted January 24, 2004 Except when it gets a blue screen of death, the registry randomly corrupts, it's slow and can't support the newest hardware. Windows 2000 is far superior. Quote
