»Purge Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Good job redesigning the site. Perhaps you should also have the source coupled with the plugin as Catid previously did with the plugins hosted on his site (for any additional plugin submissions).

Agreed; edited my original post.
L.C. Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 I released a v12 or something of SSBilling2 somewhere, not sure if I included the source code. It isn't stable and it still has some bugs that need fixing. Overall, Catid's biller isn't worth trying to fix, but rather recreating his biller from ground up, scratch.

Er, sorry, but I'm not sure what exactly you want us to do? Are you saying we should add a disclaimer to Catid's biller saying that it isn't worth trying to fix?
L.C. Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 Er, sorry, but I'm not sure what exactly you want us to do? Are you saying we should add a disclaimer to Catid's biller saying that it isn't worth trying to fix?If you do that, you'd have to add my v12 release or whatever and put my comment underneath that -- but perhaps you should also seek for third party opinions to see if I might have the wrong kind of strategy or approach to this. >.<

L.C. Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 I want everything that Aceflyer "added" taken outrootbear, I haven't had any quarrels with you, but you really need to chill out and take a break. I don't like this at!@#$%^&*ude. That isn't constructive criticism; that's personal and you know it.

Aceflyer Posted August 10, 2008 Author Report Posted August 10, 2008 Add a filter to sort the plugins by different things:Version number, alphabetically, date added, date updated, etc. A reasonable suggestion. After further consideration though: > There's only one available version of most of the plugins there.> They are already sorted alphabetically.> What would be the point of sorting them by date updated or date added? Usually when people look for a plugin, they're looking for a plugin with specific functions; usually people don't just randomly decide they want, say, the most recently updated plugin with no regard as to what it does. Note that I haven't discussed this with RiiStar, and this could potentially be something we actually implement at some point down the road, but atm, in my humble opinion I don't see a real need for this.
rootbear75 Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 Version number sorts all of the plugins by their version numberso say version 2 of one plugin would be in front of version 1 of another and the sort is just to browse. Say something got added, you clikc "Date Added/Updated" to see which ones were recently updated or added.
Aceflyer Posted August 10, 2008 Author Report Posted August 10, 2008 (edited) Note: Links page @ MERVBot website updated throughout as per PoLiX's suggestion in the other thread. Check it out: http://www.mervbot.com/links.html Edit: D1st0rt and I were unable to find out who should be credited for http://bang.sscentral.com/, so it is uncredited for now. If anyone has reliable information on this matter, please let me know. Edited August 10, 2008 by Aceflyer
»Purge Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 You should make the headlines a different color than the default text (red, perhaps) so they can be easily seen. You may also want to add section links at the top of the page so users may click to which section of the page they want to view.

»D1st0rt Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 Instead of making a links page why not just include the network.sscentral.com bar?
L.C. Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 Instead of making a links page why not just include the network.sscentral.com bar?I think that should be a standard for all Subspace related sites (which is to have the network.sscentral.com bar). It would help to unite all the sites, or atleast in some way.
Aceflyer Posted August 11, 2008 Author Report Posted August 11, 2008 Instead of making a links page why not just include the network.sscentral.com bar? That is a great bar, however it lacks many of the links that are currently referenced at MERVBot.com.
L.C. Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 That is a great bar, however it lacks many of the links that are currently referenced at MERVBot.com.But would it hurt to add it to the page?

Samapico Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 FlagBot (7.0) [Last updated Jul 20, 2004] Downloadby 50% Packetloss [FiftyPacketloss@socal.rr.com]Checks antiwarp. Checks teamkills. Checks safekills. Announces jackpot on greet and periodically. Analyzes statistics from each flag game; displays them on a victory. New: Checks uneven teams. Displays flag coordinates periodically. Rebuilt to hopefully fix antiwarp bug.
Aceflyer Posted September 10, 2008 Author Report Posted September 10, 2008 (edited) Thanks Sama. May I recommend using FlagBot (7.5) instead, though? Edited September 10, 2008 by Aceflyer
Samapico Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 indeed... just copied the description from 7.0 cause 7.5 only said something like 'updated this and that'
