Aileron Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 first off, I finally found an object that I can collide with. I is an asteroid which looks like a mine with a missile sticking out of it. However, first off I collided with it while I was a short distance away from it. It seems the graphics are nt the same size as the object. Secondly, I had saw no NRG bar, and after playing with the asteroid a little my ship blew up. I know this is because collisions do damage, but my point is I didn't SEE the damage being done as it was being done.

Firestone also installed the landing struts on your warbird so you might do some accidental barrel rolls in space when you're not expecting it Actualy, it was supposed to be a network capable health bar but this is one of the many things that haven't yet been properly implemented. All the .X based items that have realtime network properties and have to be tracked in game because of movement and have a bearing on gameplay have collision. But that's only for those items, that leaves out the space station, sun, earth moon and nebula (although, if you fly through a nebula it's just gas so no need to make a collision for that is there?)
