I know this isnt SS related' date=' and can be moved to trash talk if needed, but its really not trash talk

The problem is, I am having a hard time going on certain websites. On FF I can go on certain websites, and on IE I can go on others. Heres an example of my problem:

If I use firefox, I can access: google's home page, ask.com, mgbf, and alot of others.

If I use IE, I can access: yahoo.com's home page, ssforum.net, and alot of others.

I cant access yahoo.com and sfn on firefox at all. And as far as yahoo goes, I cant access my mail through IE, on google on FF, i cant search for anything.

These are just a couple of examples.

At first, I thought it was a DNS issue. But after taking these steps, I realized I was wrong:

I contacted my ISP and they said that everything looks fine and they dont see any problems.

Uninstalled/Reinstalled my modem.

Uninstalled/Reinstalled/Changed versions of firefox.

Checked through all security and option settings.

Disabled my firewall.

Entered OpenDNS and my ISP's DNS servers manually in network connections.

My ISP reset my modem.

I did an ipconfig /release and /renew, as well as a /flushdns

The strange thing is, this just happened all of the sudden, everything has been fine for a long time now. There were no settings changed, and nothing was touched. I just turned on my computer one day and this started happening. I do not have a router, my modem directly connects to my computer. My modem drivers are up to date. After I thought about it a bit, I thought it was my Kaspersky AV causing the issues since it deals with internet security, so I uninstalled it.

All these things, and it still doesnt help at all. I am totally lost and have no clue on what to do.

If anyone has any ideas, or knows of any kind of program or way to find out what the problem is, it will be greatly appreciated.[/quote']

i have some problems with firefox not wanting to display sites correctly,

but i thought that was only isolated to me.

Is it something like this happening:

when it should look like:

I have that sometimes when it fails to download the .css file. If it always happens it is most likely an issue in your settings (Try: View -> Page Style -> Basic Page Style)

no, because it only does it sometimes.
