2pac Posted July 23, 2008 Report Posted July 23, 2008 smoking is not a addiction, its either you do it or you don't or do it whenever you want to.
»Lynx Posted July 23, 2008 Report Posted July 23, 2008 Yeah, I guess all them scientists are wrong. -Lynx
Samapico Posted July 23, 2008 Report Posted July 23, 2008 So your goal went from killing yourself to stop smoking? That's an improvemet... much better for your health too
FMBI Posted July 23, 2008 Report Posted July 23, 2008 Keep those cigarettes on hand though, in case someone ever tries to hang you.. you can burn your way out.
»Lynx Posted July 23, 2008 Report Posted July 23, 2008 Cigarettes aren't always alight, you INFIDELLLL! -Lynx
Cancer+ Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 I smoked for like 6 months and then just stopped. Cold turkey. Months is not years, I know that. But one day I just realized...it sucked. Didn't taste good and it wasn't good for you. What was the point of it? Cigarettes suck anyways. Why don't you do coke or something. This way, you can have an addiction and kill youself. 2fer.
JDS Posted July 24, 2008 Author Report Posted July 24, 2008 lol^, well im onto day2... its pretty hard, but if you tell everyone you quit, it makes it easyer to face that reality
X`terrania Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 Keep those cigarettes on hand though, in case someone ever tries to hang you.. you can burn your way out. As both snake's from MGS have shown us, cigarettes come in handy whenever you're on a one man sneaking mission.
JDS Posted July 24, 2008 Author Report Posted July 24, 2008 rootbear75> Smoking is not an idle threat

FMBI Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 JDS, how ya doin'? Suffering severe withdrawal symptoms yet? Getting that unstoppable urge to slowly inhale as you suck on that delicious cigarette, thereby giving yourself a near-orgasmic feeling with each breath? Wondering how you could ever have quit performing such an uplifting activity? Or, are you just glad to have quit sucking tar and nicotine into your lungs, thereby shortening your lifespan by up to a dozen years? ^_^

Trained Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 Ive been smoking for 5 years now, and I wanna quit, but its extremely hard. I have the mental power, but when something goes wrong or your stressing out, its hard not to light one up. Ive tried to quit or even slow down a few times, but I just can't seem to put em down. People say "Its so easy to quit, just stop" but its really not that easy.. at all. Theres much more than just an addiction, its more like a minor OCD thing. Its worse when you haven't had a cig in a day, and then you do something that usually triggers a cig, like, after sex I always smoke, or after I eat, the best cig is after I eat, and thats usually the hardest part to get over. They say the first week is the worst, then it just easier in time, but it's definately something I can't do with everything going on in my life right now, i'll have to wait till everything slows down.
Machu Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 i heard if you crave a cigarette you should eat or drink something cold
FMBI Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 Trained, as someone who knows absolutely nothing about psychology, have you considered going on a vacation for a week and just cutting it off right there? It'd be a good "jumping-off" technique methinks, although you'd have to be careful once you got home.
