Unix Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 Items that arent !@#$%^&*ociated with any ship, but the player them self. Something like viewing enemy team chat, able to hop onto priv team of three, etc etc. Would it even be possible? Quote
Unix Posted July 19, 2008 Author Report Posted July 19, 2008 Forgot to add a nice item... seeing flags from spec Quote
»Ceiu Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 Possible, yes... however the examples given will not be done. Private teams exist so people can play with their friends and have some degree of control over who they play/converse with. It'd kind of defeat the purpose if people could buy "spying" equipment. Exiili Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 viewing enemy team chat' date='[/quote'] able to hop onto priv team of three I hate you more and more everytime I see you post stuff. Just read those. What the !@#$%^&* are you thinking? Quote
Unix Posted July 20, 2008 Author Report Posted July 20, 2008 I guess I'll have to post more!!! Having those kind of items would be great to have, am I wrong for thinking that exi? Would being able to increase priv size to four if you buy an item be bad? What kind of items would be possible? Quote
mij Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Would being able to increase priv size to four if you buy an item be bad? yes Quote
Acer Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 I think its kinda stupid.. I doubt your able to buy an item for spec mode....unless you enable flags in spec for every one..and ya it would be a bad idea to increase a priv team with an item... Quote
Kilo Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 why go to the trouble of making an item to increase the size of a freq when the end result is the same as just increasing the size of a freqmaybe think before speak lulz Quote
rootbear75 Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 now hold on... i think she is trying to say, like if you have a group of 4 ppl that want to play together (yes the limit is three)but with one person having this item, they can hop on the freq with their friends...of course ?changeteam Name:password would still have to be used..... Quote
Unix Posted July 20, 2008 Author Report Posted July 20, 2008 now hold on... i think she is trying to say, like if you have a group of 4 ppl that want to play together (yes the limit is three)but with one person having this item, they can hop on the freq with their friends...of course ?changeteam Name:password would still have to be used.....yah And the items dont have to be just for spec mode, it could be while you're playing too, something that's player specific, not ship specific. Quote
Acer Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Lol, Um..I don't like this idea...they have a limit for a reason.... Quote
Syrith Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Well obviously Unix doesn't think things out clearly. Seriously Unix, your ideas fail like your DT, don't suggest any new ones. Quote
Deathmonger Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Unix: Deathboy-evil Mk2 ROFL I'm going to try to roll Unix's ideas into a single item: Name: Ring of Abusiveness (not a Signature)Description: A ring that is !@#$%^&*ociated to the account and not any particular ship, granting its owner useful powers.Cost: $2MCommands:?steal - takes another player's money and adds it to your account?hop - power hop to another freq, ignoring freq limits and passwords?boot - kicks a player off of your freq into spec?snoop - snoop on enemy team chat?snoop - snoop on player private messages?invis - toggles super cloak not detectable by x-radar?addclock - adds seconds to the flag game clock to prevent team from winning?forcedrop - forces flag carrier to drop flags wherever they are?summon - forces a player to attach to you, even if they are on another team?autowarp - automatically warps you away to a random location if your energy goes below 300?leech - leeches kill money from freq, even if they are enemy?quickrunwin - changes player to a new priv freq, summons all flags to player and reduces game clock to zero I think you'll agree that this item would be very useful. Quote
Unix Posted July 20, 2008 Author Report Posted July 20, 2008 I dont get the deathboy evil reference O_o The ?buy would be !@#$%^&*ociated with your name, not ship - So you can buy it when you're in spec, when you're in a ship, etc, but you could still use it no matter which ship you're in or if you're in spec mode. I like that ?leech one, root Quote
nolan123 Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 the reason that priv team thing wouldnt work is cause if so many ppl had it, then they could stack a team and be un beatable. Quote
Suicide_Run Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Well they could just make item not work if theres already 4 ppl + name tag for private freqs nolan. Make it please so I can abuse it when private freq run wins. Oh death, you forgot commands like ?cobalt, ?stealmoney, ?stealexp Quote
Gar Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 I have to say that Unix has a good idea despite those particular items being senseless... you could have these general items be similar to pilot skills. These could be pre-endgame items that are useful in distinguishing your playstyle once your ships are maxed. General item example:Name: FlaksightDescription: After years of fighting you have an eye for bullets and how to best absorb them, but you never did get the hang of avoiding bombs.Cost: $500k / 17.5k xpEffect: All ships -10 bulletdamage, +50 bombdamage Name: Lucky Rabbit's FootDescription: Let's get one thing straight: you're not a coward. You're just a little afraid. And you rub your lucky rabbit's foot constantly. And you're quick. But you're not a coward!Cost: $600k / 20k xpEffect: All ships +1 speed, +1 maxspeed, +1 thrust, +1 maxthrust, -2 rotation, +10 bulletdamage, -1 energy Quote
Kilo Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Those items (the kind that describe what kind of pilot you are) already exist, they're just not available with ?buy, kind of like ?buy skill. Quote
Aishi Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 Why are we making more items for Unix to abuse, seeing as how shes the only one that can actually afford it. Quote
Rivel Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 Lots of people can afford them, like f3ar-evil Quote
Acer Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 Lots of people can afford them, like f3ar-evilNot on his own Ya maybe he can get to 500k him self be he couldn't get to 2m by him self Quote
Unix Posted July 21, 2008 Author Report Posted July 21, 2008 the reason that priv team thing wouldnt work is cause if so many ppl had it, then they could stack a team and be un beatable.Forgot to add to make a limit of 5 or something, that way you cant go that high. There are lots of options, also cheap options. ie: Overall power strip: Adds onto your ship you're currently in +1/+1 - So whatever ship you're in gets the benefit Quote
QUAX Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 Lots of people can afford them, like f3ar-evilNot on his own Ya maybe he can get to 500k him self be he couldn't get to 2m by him self Thats the squad's buisness. Quote
