Stibbymicto Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 (edited) Well, I don't want to seem like i'm ranting or anything, but lately, Hyperspace has been on the fall. Every morning fewer and fewer people play while places like EG, and Trench wars grow and grow. I even found a few Hyperspace people in diffrent arenas all day because of "lack of interest in Hyperspace" Yesterday we were basing for about 2 hours and everyone was complaining "God, this is boring, I seriously can't take this anymore" It seems while we are getting more and more people to join, we are having less and less active players within the Zone. So, I ran a few ideas by people and now I am going to have a poll. It seems a lot of people are:1) Interested in all bases being re-made -->(besides only 1, 6, and 5 are used anymore)2) a Full-Out reset -->(up to The brain)3) Both so just poll your answer and stick around to argue against/for me on this. Stibbymicto Posted July 16, 2008 Author Report Posted July 16, 2008 Maps are going to be refreshed soon anyways. Usless post. Not Useless, only your post was useless See, Because I also mention Reset AND my piont has to do with the lack of interest, not who is more keyed in about maps.I would much rather have a full-blown reset. Rivel Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 How about "Something to prevent Hopping" Quote
omni Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 How about "Something to prevent Hopping" This needs to be #1 priority if we want the zone to grow. Anyways, I'd say once an anti-hopping mechanism is in place, it would be a good time for a wipe, allowing new players to join, having an almost equal oppurtunity with the experienced players. Quote
Dr Brain Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 Mods don't update or control the development in any way. Exception is Sharpflame, who has become the official unofficial map dev. Other than that asking the mods to do development will get you no where. Quote
MWarrior Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 Open the race arena so we can race for fun. Quote
Exiili Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 TW only seems to grow, because they keep adding more bots in it. Quote
Acer Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 I say both. When the new map comes a reset should happen at the same day, So everything is new. And hs would grow more if a reset would happen.. Quote
rootbear75 Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 losing population? lawl... i've rarely seen HS in the 70s but it's been more and more commonplace recently unless you are talking about active players, then thats a completely different story. Quote
op2rules Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 I was gunna say both but the post was poorly made... I mean reset hyperspace should kinda include remaking the maps? lol Anyways I would want an entire reset soon, and maybe a few more ammoless options for us, maybe make it so shooting costs less or no energy when you have ammo? lets not make this a discussion, I voted reset. Gar Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 Resets kill the population for long periods of time. It'd be re!@#$%^&*ed to finally get back to working pop numbers and reset again so soon. Quote
Unix Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 (edited) Unless Brain wants it, Arnk has said there wont be a reset anytime soon. Edited July 17, 2008 by Unix Quote

Gar Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 Shows what you know. Every reset in Hyperspace history has increased population significantly.Except this one, right? ; ) Cause I'm one of the people who actually had to play in the "30 max" era for the few months after this reset was put in. You know, when everyone was screaming HS was dead and nobody was playing. Note I said pops were deadened 'for a period of time'. Numbers are going back up now that alot of the set's problems have been fixed. Quote
Unix Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 If problems are fixed and population is growing, why reset? Quote
op2rules Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 Because everyone hates this one, and we need something fresh. A new complete remake of the zone... well not completely keep the hypertunnel, maybe not make it in the edges of the map but something else but besides that yea... Quote
Dr Brain Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 Shows what you know. Every reset in Hyperspace history has increased population significantly.Except this one, right? ; ) It went up right after the reset, like it always does. Stayed that way for about a week. Quote
»D1st0rt Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 I don't hate this one, statement disproved Quote
rootbear75 Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 (edited) imo, if you do change hypertunnels, make it something like -> ___|X|--- Edited July 20, 2008 by rootbear75 Quote
vetta64 Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 Is there a way to reset each player automatically based on that players total usage or something in stead of resetting whole zone. Quote
