ummm, wtf? people who attempt to cheat or hack at SS are pathetic... although i'm accused of it a lot, i've never once used a cheat or hack... no need to, the game just takes practice... and oh yeah... i hate laggers too, kent :-)

It's ok ppl who lag on purpose suck -*BAD WORD*- since it's a cheat you cannot really ban or penalize (I have a shared i-net connection even when tracing me you might see that i might lag 'on purpose' which is not true)

That's the reason why you cannot hunt down ppl you traced and found out to lag client sieded since it might not have been on purpose.

 

The thing about the frame check is another thing. Yes there is a server setting to check on ppls minimum frame rate and now go figure why nearly no one uses it.

 

The serves might lose 'clients' the so called players that make the game alive. Back to the times I was playing on my 200 MMX i was using the maximum resolution i could get. It was a frame rate critical. Too many ships or explosions and would have been set in spec for the hack you announced. Cause one thing is for certain: The higher the resolution you play the earlier you can react, dodge or attack your opponent. How would have you decided in my position?

played in 1024x768 or lower?

Would you have even gotten me banned for a slow computer?

And I play at max resoulation cause I find it alot easier to play. Maybe thats why I only do 50fps :/
